I am changing the tranny fluid at 1200miles. I have 2 questions basically
1. is the OEM ford ATF full synthetic or not?
2. there are lots of other oils that meet the ford standard which is Mercon LV, what are some of the best full synthetic oils available? I heard about amsoil a lot...
I got a bunch of oem filters from US for about 20 CAD each.
in terms of oil I use amsoil 5w-50.
so each oil change will cost me about 180cad each on parts alone.
also if anyone knows what is the max rpm while you are in limp mode? i have heard 5500 rpm?
even at 5500rpm the car is putting out over 320whp easy, which is not slow.
56,495 USD Base car at today's exchange rate is 71287, which is about 2000 less that the CAD MSRP.
I was one of the first one in Canada that got the car, since I put in my order on May 2015, Ford Canada jacked up the price of the car twice totaling about 1200. My car was 62599 CAD base price...
glad the police actually did something.
also a quick question, looking at gorilla lock and log nuts, what are the specs for factory gt350? is it 17mm or 3/4'' hex? and should I go with "Acron" or "Acorn Bulge"
Thanks
if you can get gt350 at MSRP or under, you should do it without thinking twice. that is my honest opinion.
e92 m3 is no longer in production, can't comment on the value on a used car just way too many variables.
dude, I am not a fanboi. I own both cars. if anything, I am the opposite of fanboi.
the real fanboi are the few ppl here who talk about their 57k USD gt350 as if god himself made it.
honestly most people here probably never driven one, or own one, or couldn't afford one. Before the s550 gen I wouldn't even give the mustang a second look due to the obvious reasons.
the s550 with IRS started changing my opinion about the car, and the gt350 for sure attracted a lot of the...
there is only 1 definition of power band and that is peak tq to peak hp, the rest of the definition is just internet BS
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_band
stock dyno e92 m3, the most perfect dyno shape anyone can ever dream of.
lol man
powerband is defined as the range between peak tq and peak hp.
the S65 has a much wider powerband than the gt350. from 3900rpm to 8300rpm, where as the GT350 does from 4750rpm to 7500rpm
so please, get your facts checked.
lol M3 is not a slow car, 12.6/12.7s all day long. gt350 is what? 12.4/12.5?
The m3 is much closer to a perfect car, than the gt350. In fact, I would take a stroker M3 over a gt350 any day of the week.
have both, both are 6psd.
gt350 has better engine/tranny/damper combo
e92 has better size/steering/visibility/luxury/nimble-ness combo
my perfect car will be having the voodoo engine/tranny/damper on my m3, but not the other way around.
