use their synchromax product instead of GM 88861800

seems to me it is a heavier oil 175 viscocity index vs Ford's 155
from 2016 camaro owner's guide
Manual Transmission (V6 Engine) DEXRON®-VI Automatic Transmission Fluid.
Manual Transmission (V8 Engine) Manual Transmission Fluid (GM Part No. 88861800, in
Canada 88861801).
its very interesting, that they recommend different fluid for v6 than v8
this is the stuff we have in our manual transmission:

I am looking for something better and maybe heavier than the stock tranny fluid for summer track day seasons as well.
But of course my hope is Ford will come up with their OEM solution before May or June.
clearly you didn't pay too much attention during high school chemistry class, and obviously have no idea what "specific heat' or 'heat capacity' means.
in a nut shell it means how much energy (heat) does it take to raise the temp by 1 degree.

"One of my friends in Ohio with a track pack went to Atlanta on some track club event and his track also went into limp mode. He said there were 3 gt350s and all eventually went into limp mode."
according to the official specs

It calls for Dexron II, Dexron VI ATF which is a GM product.
I wonder if that is what they use in the ATS and Camaro.
if sure would, the term is 'heat capacity', as in how much energy does it take to raise the temp by 1 degree.
a higher grade fluid with bigger heat capacity would absolutely help.
hoping Ford:
- develop an external pump wired to battery with track/r tranny cooler for base/tech
- recommend a thicker better tranny oil for ALL models base/tech/track/r
all these limp mode issue regarding tranny will all go away. even a better tranny fluid will hope a lot.
those motorcraft...
that is good news!
I have no doubt that FORD can build us tech/base owner a proper trans cooler. sure we don't have an internal pump, but they could use the stock cooler and just add an external pump running from the battery terminal. its not rocket science there.
I think the key is we want a...

just take a look at the underbody, the cats are really close to the tranny, the pipes after the cats are not as close.
you can't wrap the cats it will get way to hot, and I don't think there is much need to wrap the pipes after the cats since they are pretty far from the tranny (but of course I...
