I brushed it on. Lots of metallic, the color flops a lot depending on the light and angle. I tried to get sunlight pics today, but it was early afternoon and the fenders provided too much shadow. I'll try again when I can, but later in the afternoon.
I'm not sure if I like it, but it's different. I did three heavy coats and still had half of the paint left. The color is maybe just a bit darker than the car. It depends a lot on the angle you look at it from and the lighting, but it's pretty close. I'll take some shots when the sun's out...
I recently wrapped the dash trim and steering wheel spokes in my car. I did the spokes in Oracal 070M Matte Black and the dash in 937 Charcoal Metallic. 937 is the closest color yet to Magnetic Metallic that I have found. The dash looks really good in the sun, but not so much in the shade...
Would a Brembo decal be too much? As I understand it, Brembo manufactures the standard GT 4-piston calipers for Ford. Like an OEM line or something. Not 100% on that, but it's definitely not a Ford designed caliper.
Sweet guys. Just got my kit from G2. Had them color match Magnetic Metallic. $110 +shipping is a lot for one kit, was going to use their black kit for the rear bracket if I needed to. Figure it'll be pretty subtle, but look good. I may throw on a black decal of some kind. Not a giraffe...
Most of the residue on the inside of the windshield is from all the plastic in the car outgassing and creating a film. The carpet, seats, seat pads, trim, upholstery, etc. are all made of plastics now. It will lessen over time, depending on how much the car is in the sun, windows down, etc.
My AC went out yesterday. My compressor is making a little bit of noise, like when a power steering pump is low on fluid. But it still kicks on. So, I'm thinking the compressor is bad. Because if the R134a was low, from a leak or something, then the compressor wouldn't try to kick on...
The reason I could use a shorter filter is because I'm using a sandwich plate with oil pressure and temp sensors. This setup moves the filter too close to the frame to remove or install it. I have to remove the drivers side motor mount nut and jack the engine up to change it out. Not a huge...
So, I've been doing some digging to try and find a replacement for the shorter factory filter that came on some of the 5.0L cars. I found a part lookup on WIX that showed a shorter version of their 57502(FL500S). Its PN 57060 and the only difference is the bypass pressure. Which isn't really...
