The rev matching is only for downshifting. It revs the engine to the RPM the engine will be turning at the speed and gear selected. It is meant to be used on a racetrack or autocross. It's purpose is to match the speed and RPM for a smooth gear change while braking.
What ELP is noticing is...
When I say 10/10 I mean when I want to try a flat shift. Cause you know maybe something changed and it works now lol. I can still shift the car fast over 7k, just takes more finesse rather than speed.
I have reused mine twice. Doesn't leak. I have never had to "pry" the arms up, it just unscrewed. I did have to modify my oil change container because the hole wasnt big enough to accept the whole 10qts in 10 seconds.
A couple years back I drove a buddy's 17 GT M6, after hearing about all the MT82 problems I was pretty surprised I could flat shift his stock car without a problem. I didnt even think twice before buying my 19 GT with the MT82.
So far I have added a MGW shifter, BG fluid, and the Steeda...
I coated my car with GT CSL and Exo earlier this year when i bought it. Now seeing more and more about the graphene coatings. Another shop called Apex detail has applied a few different ones and has some pretty good testing and reviews on his youtube channel. I may remove the CSL and exo from...
Brought home a Velocity Blue 2019 GT PP1, MT82, 300A today. Paid 1000 under invoice and used the 0 for 84. I previously had a 2016 non PP ecoboost. This is way better. Wife told me no mods, but I already ordered an x pipe res delete. I ordered it before I bought the car though, so im not...
Personally, i would clay the car. Sometimes cars sit outside for weeks before being transported to dealerships (on open trucks most times). I told the dealer not to wash my car before delivery, they did anyways. I brought the car home, did a 2 bucket wash, clay, Polish (Meguiars M205) and wax...
Hey guys, I've been in the amateur detail world for a little while. I had a PC7424 given to me some years back and I started out with the Megs ultimate compound and polish. Started using the professional series 105/205, machine glaze, yellow wax. Stuff like that. I could never bring myself to go...
Did you get the 3 piece "plm" downpipe? That's the one I have. I had to go back and reposition after a couple hundred miles, but it's been good ever since.
Yeah, I'll be getting rid of the reducer and resonator. I'll probably put a 3in dual outlet muffler in its place and reconnect the stock catback. That or full retard single 3in with a bullet muffler and a turndown at the axle. Lol haven't made up my mind yet.
I run an off road DP with the stock resonator and catback. It's louder than stock obviously not really loud though. I don't have any times or dyno sheets for you though. Sorry. Get a good bit of whistle from the exhaust and it's deeper sounding in the cabin than stock.
Considering the Camaro get the big brakes front and back, better tuned Magride, bigger and better tires, more aggressive aero work and both diff and trans coolers. Yes it's small. But what I was getting at is just about every magazine got a GT PP for their tester and almost none complained about...
PS pricing for parts being what they are for these motors, it's probable that it would be cheaper to have one of the vendors build it. There's not alot of deals going on with internal parts or "used" parts. When putting together an engine there's alot of stuff you need that can get over looked...
Define reputable. I had an engine built by a "reputable" mustang shop once. It immediately came apart and instead of standing behind an 0 mile motor they built that came apart, they called me names and blamed someone else.
The local guy I had do it the second time did a fantastic job. He knew...
The camaro is obviously faster and better around a track in most cases. The problem is that GM builds the car for a small percentage of the market. The GT PP is a small upgrade over a GT that improves handling without consequence to the overall dynamic. Tires still wear good for a performance...
Someone swapped a 2.0 ecoboost from the frpp catalog. The 6r80 didn't fit in the trans tunnel if I remember right. Had to cut it up and fabricate it. A 4r70w would fit if it will bolt to the 2.3. I think the main hurdle is the control pack. Last I looked there was one for the 2.0 but not the 2.3
I don't have mine mounted. I did get them a couple days ago, will need a small spacer but they'll fit. I'm going to put my stock 255s on them until spring then probably a 305 in the back and 275 in the front. But I think a 305 square setup would look awesome.
