Moving from Seattle area to Vegas, I have made the drive about 6 times. I have used 4 different routes. Certainly some nice views here and there. (never used 101, but I can almost guarantee traffic will be bad near the bay area). I guess my question to you would be why not book a flight? ;)

If he has ZERO track experience, I'd just buy the miata for $6k, spend the rest on track time/tires/etc. I'd get some experience before "building" an all out track car. Just my humble advice for the OP.

MRR M600 (Ford GT replica style) Wheels. 19x10" ET +35. Wheels are like new and include center caps. Tires are Federal Evoluzion ST-1 in 275/35/19. Mounted and balanced. These were used for 2 track sessions, and maybe 60 street miles. Great tires on the street, but not so great on the track...

I wish I could afford 2-piece rotors but I'm cheap so I'll stick to the Front OEM GTPP heavy rotors. What's your favorite/cheapest place to buy them? Rockauto has the centric (I think that's OEM?) for $46ea. But shipping is like $23 so total is about $123 for the fronts shipped. Thanks
