Do you not use 5th?! I'm in 5th a lot at ACS and WSIR. Though I'm usually on a slightly smaller tire diameter ~26.6".
EDIT, saw you are in a `18+ mustang, I've heard the trans ratios are very different. So never mind LOL 2016 mt-82 here (3.73's also so everything is different)
Thursday 5/14 @ Willow Springs with Speed district. Strict social-distancing policies and an online only drivers meeting. No timing unfortunatly. But I'll be glad to finally be back on track again!
I love these tires, especially after getting them on sale for $180ea at tirerack (285/30/20 closeouts)! They are pretty consistent speed wise, decent grip and now come in a lot more sizes like the 305's you said.
That being said, I'm trying out a set of 285/35/19 Cup 2's on Thursday so I...
I'm going to take some flack for this, but I run the bolt-on type spacers (with studs) on track. I usually do 5-10 track days per year, but no actual racing. At first, I would check the lugs after every session, being a bit paranoid. Never once have I had a loose lug (torquing usually to...
Any consideration for a 19" wheel? 275/35/19 is a very common size for performance tires and a little closer to stock size (still smaller by a little bit).
Hell I'll sell you a set of 19x10's for $500 and get a set of Federal 595RSR-R's from ebay for $560 and you're still less than the price...
If you are looking at hoosiers, then hopefully you can afford wider wheels, and wider tires to mount on them... Ditch those stock wheels if at all possible! Not sure if you are in a class with regulations? or what... But IMO, mustang's shouldn't even come with wheels that narrow from the...
Used, good condition.
Steeda S550 Mustang Billet Rear Shock Mounts. Includes what you see in the pictures. Didn't fit my application (Whiteline coilovers). Bought them on the forum used for $150. I'm asking $124 shipped (cont 48 USA).
For the price, you cannot beat them! They last quite a while on track. They do get quite loud on the street after a little while. But 275/35/19 will run about $535-550 for a set of 4. At least that's what I paid for mine.
There are certainly much better, grippier tires out there. But for...
I've personally used the RS-RR but not the new RS-PRO yet. From what I gathered online, they were designed to be less noisy, but not as fast as the RR. But I doubt it could really be that much of a difference to the RS-RR.
Test them out, and post your review here! I'll probably grab a set...
I think it would depend more on which tire you plan to use. But honestly I don't think you'd notice much of a difference with a 1/2 inch at each wheel. Lots of different factors, but I could guess you might be 1 sec slower on a ~2minute road course. (using the same tire of course).
I use the raybestos r300. I just liked the design lol and weren't much more than blanks. I think rockauto has them still for about $300 set of 4. EDIT: rears ~48ea, fronts ~73ea. So about $250
What exactly are you using the car for? I saw your other post about 9.5/10" wide and am just wondering if you are stuck to a set of rules? or how much experience you have on track? And what the goals are for your car.
So I got a great deal on a 2018 Oxford white rear bumper. From the other threads I searched through already, looks like it will fit my 2016 base model with minor modifications.
However the new 2018 bumper had parking sensors (not actually included, just empty holes now). My car does not have...
Happened to me a couple times, but was coupled with "advanctrac" and "ABS" warning lights. Eventually chased it back to a drivers rear hub ring issue. There is a little metal "ring" on the inside of the hub and mine got bent/crushed out of place and would play havoc with the wheel speed...
Race render software is what is supposed to work well with track addict. However, I've not been successful linking the speed, etc with my gopro videos. So I'm just subscribing for more info.
Had a few people ask me, so I wanted to clarify: The wheels I'm selling are brand new, in box. I have another exact same set that I'm keeping those are the pictures of my car with the wheels. When Tirerack put them on sale, I bought 2 sets.
Thanks
