And the belly pan/air deflectors are not mandatory to swap the brakes. I'd only do it if you are doing serious road course duty. And honestly, there are better/more effective brake duct options out there if you are doing a lot of track days.
The DTC-60 and DTC-70 worked great on my 2013. But I haven't tried carbotech on the mustangs yet. Certainly will consider carbo's since they are almost the only option for GTPP track pads right now. Where can I find the part numbers/pricing on the carbotechs?
Another one here with the same car (`16 OW GTPP base) who can't wait to get it out on track. I wanted a base, but prefer the premium rear bumper also.
What part number are the brake pads you used? Pro's con's on those porterfield pads for the track?
I'm pretty much only seeing people use...
Not really a good comparison, since the GT PP is more of a "handling/big brake package". Unless the SS in stock form handles much better than a mustang? in that case, base GT with PP is still lower MSRP: $35,790.
I think the price on this camaro option is still a tad expensive compared to...
Performance is great on the SS (on paper, I've never driven one myself) compared to a similarly equipped Mustang. But the Camaros are Much more expensive! SS MSRP $36,300. Mustang GT MSRP $32,395.
I wonder what the MSRP will be on the 1LE package SS will be.
My old car (`13 stang) was $180 and not sure what type of vinyl they used.
Might try to do my new car myself. Kits usually run $50-75 bucks. But I might take it back to the same shop and pay the $180 again.
There is about 2mm space between the barrel and caliper. I know that is pretty close. But what are the risks with it being that close? I honestly don't know... Can rocks/debris get stuck in there?
You can add TSW Panorama RF 18x10.5 to the list. The offset is +27, so they poke out a little bit (wish they were +35). Haven't tried them on the rear yet, but fit the front great. Just enough brake clearance.
I had them on my 2013, but I don't remember the weight (I'd guess around...
It looks like the top plates are camber only adjustment? Possible to make a camber AND caster mount? Or just go with the Maximum Motorsports units for a little more cost?
Would these benefit from different springs like swift or hyperco?
My intended use would be about 50% track, 50% daily...
So nice! Those are JRZ top plate? Do they adjust caster as well as camber? I'm trying to decide on coilovers, sure wish I had the coin for these! But they are WAY out of my price range lol
Did you have coilovers before this? I'd like to hear your comparisons if so...
