If your pirellis are all seasons, then they are probably not the performance pack, so your wheels are probably 8" or 9" wide. 285 would really be pushing it (too wide) for a 8 or 9" wheel. 255 would probably be fine. Do you know the size of your current wheels? Or your current tire size?

For the stock wheels I'd probably do a 265 or 275/35/19 FRONT, and a 295/35/19 REAR. I know people have done 305's on the 9.5" wheel, but I don't think you gain much actual surface patch because the tires are bulging. Good luck!

A 265/30/19 is a very short tire (thin sidewall and small diameter) for the front. Are you putting them on the stock GTPP wheels?

I haven't done anything to save my paint. Have a few chips here and there from the track. Maybe if I had a more special car like a GT350 or something more expensive? Then I'd probably do some clear bra. I will say "OPR" (little black rubber streaks) is a major pain to remove from a white car!

I think you'll find most of the track guys prefer a 285 or wider. More rubber= more grip generally. With that said, I think a 275 would work just fine. Especially since these RS-RR tires do run pretty wide! (ive had the 205/50/15 RS-R on my miata) But a 275/35/18 is a very short...

What size? They really don't make them in sizes large enough for our cars. 275/35/19 Would be the widest I guess. But I wish they made a 285, 295 or even 305.
