Here is the UOA for the oil that was in the car when i bought it.
Really the only concerning thing is the water but after to speaking to the company these levels are about 2ml in the whole 100ml sample I sent in.
its very plausible that the water is cleaner from cleaning the surface of my drain...
Double checking the orientation of the bearing on the #5 main. Also installing Ford main bolts. Can anyone tell me the torque spec for these?
For the inners is it 60ft lb plus 90°
For the outer and side still the 45ftlb like the arp?
No worries a lot to read now that this has grown thanks the valuable input for you all
I can only speculate that the oil in the car when I bought was motorcraft since the CARFAX had an oil service last year in June about 2000 mi ago.
#5 was a pia to get out. The bearing doesn’t look terrible, there is a wear mark but certainly not any cause of glitter in the oil. The other three mains should be straight forward getting out.
Yes I did and I have them right here. Am I missing it? I’m looking for something like “hey dumb dumb the special stud is #X in the torque sequence”
Torque sheet is in the box. Main cap #1 is off. What do we think? Crank looks great. Bearing looked ok I guess. Zero grooves. No discoloration either.
Thoughts?
