I know, it was just in reply to Rhys's comment. He was right, it's just that European cars will have the toggles by default as we get the premium pack.

I can see the benefit of the system. My Mondeo has stupid tints on the rear windows and windscreen which means that even if I turn my head around, I can't really see other cars that clearly, especially in the evenings.

Insurance is statistics based so really it's hard to tell, and simply going by engine size and performance won't get you far. With the Mustang being new and potentially having ACC as standard (based purely on lower grille design) and things like back up cameras may drive insurance prices down...

Sorry, I meant to say until recently. That's what I mean by heated front windscreen but others are referring to just blasting hot air at the windscreen as heated windscreen.

Ford had a patent until quite recently on proper heated windscreens whereby there are heating filaments within the windscreen. Not even the likes of BMW had that. It means it takes no time to clear frost or ice when starting up. I hope the Mustang has it, I can't see any reason not to have it!

I would have thought that the gap you set is time dependent rather than distance as the former will mean that the distance adjusts with respect to the speed of the car. That's how it is in my Mondeo anyway...

A lot of the reviews of the US cars mention the same thing which is my point. The car isn't loud enough that they'd have to restrict the exhaust further and subsequently cause the drop in power. It's probably for another reason.

I can't see it being the exhaust system, not when there's the like of the F-Type and AMGs going round that make even more noise!
