I just emailed Think Ford in Guildford and they informed me that they will have a US Spec Automatic GT in from the 27th for a few weeks.

Cheers mate. The one thing I regret not doing was going to the supercar paddock to check out the GT350R more closely, seeing as that's the car I was most looking forward to see. But I'm happy I caught it going up and down the hill.

The Stig would never take it easy! He was doing donuts on the way down on Saturday, where a 918 nearly crashed into it...

Oh man, I am so jealous you got to meet Dave Pericak, with a photo in front of the Ford GT no less!! I've got some pictures I'll upload in a bit. If I didn't have my friends with me, I would have stayed longer and hunted down the GT350R. I only got to see it on the hill climb.

The yellow one was a euro-spec GT. And yeah it definitely needed a stripe as commented by a few friends who were with me.

I'm just going through my pictures now and something I've noticed is that Ford must have had one of the worst stands in the exhibition zone. Their cars were blocked off by metal bars which not only meant that you couldn't really get close but you couldn't even take a good picture of the Mustang...

Ha yeah. When I went to the launch they did, I told him that if I ever get a Mustang, I'll be taking it to him to get it serviced. I wouldn't trust a Ford mechanic near mine.

I don't think he'll be affected too much. If anything, he might get a lot more business modifying cars now given that there's going to be far more Mustangs on the road with many no doubt looking to upgrade theirs.

It will still go up the Hill, just that it won't be timed and he can't thrash it. But I haven't seen his latest interview...

It's in the Super Car class. Also if you miss it on the way up, wait for the cars to come back down. You get a better view of them.

What an awesome day out it was and the GT350R was superb! Unfortunately I didn't go to the paddock to take a better look but I took some photos as it came back down the hill. At that point, Ben Collins started doing donuts and a Porsche 918 was VERY close to crashing into it!!! I wonder what...
