I ordered the version 2 of the scoop last week from shelby, will post picture tonight.
version 2 is more "solid" than version 1, and looks a bit different.
going to change the tranny and diff fluid tonight, just wondering if I need to apply any special anti-seize for the drain+fill bolts?
I got some of this, wonder if i should use it
thanks
most cars today are EPS and turbo, a direct result of the need to hit emission and fuel economy standards.
I would argue older cars are better and newer cars are faster, as you said hydraulic > EPS, and clearly ITB > turbo (in terms of response).
and also the power delivery of M3 is more...
my manual is even less than 3500lbs just by cutting out the stock big muffler box which most people do.
C&D reports manual is around 3550lbs, DCT is over 3600lbs. you can get a stock e92 m3 with 18'' around 3500lbs stock. the 3550lb from C&D is with 19'' rim and wheels...
I have both, and love both
M3 is smaller, lighter by 300+lbs, feels more nimble, engine response is faster due to shorter stroke and ITB. Main weakness is the stock brakes and relatively low in HP.
GT350 is bigger, heavier, sounds more powerful, more HP, main weakness is too heavy and too big...
just wondering if there is an easy way to adjust the brake pedal height, I would like it to be a little bit higher.
went under the dash today and the brake pedal does not have a lock nut so I can't find any obvious ways to adjust the height
anyone has any ideas? this is for easier heel-toe...
I can't find it on their website....maybe you are right a new version will come out soon.
I have decided against installing an aftermarket tranny cooler, think it will hurt the resale value when I eventually trade it in down the road.
Op could you please lists which cars are manual and which cars are DCT/auto?
if they are all manual I have a feeling GT350 might beat them all. I know Alfa doesn't sell manual in USA
could you please also enable the tranny temp reading follow the FORSCAN thread while you are on track, that way you can share the actual temps with the scoop at the end of the session.
thanks, really looking forward to it, first track day is booked for end of April
