Must be different where I'm from....I rarely see Mustangs at the roadcourse. Vettes, Vipers, Porsches, BMWs mostly. To say the Mustang has been a corner carver since 1965 is pretty funny, especially through the solid rear axle days.
At the drag strip, every other car is a Mustang.
Don't you dare stick up for anything that isn't Ford. You should know better...
Don't mention that a Ford GT was slower around VIR than a Camaro either...that might start a Civil War.
:ford:
I enjoy reading all this negativity about certain brands when I know all some are doing is...
I'm a car enthusiast... That's why I bought the R. Already had a couple Vipers and wanted to try something different. I really enjoy driving the GT350 and think it's more fun on the street than the Viper (as I've told many of my Viper friends).
I missed a couple track days due to the recall...
The quickest and fastest pony cars available and the quickest track car in the ACR Extreme.... I'm loosing my interest too...:headbonk::first::ford::headbang::D
The A8 Hellcat runs a certified 10.8 on DR's....the Demon will have 315 DR's as optional tire choice and a drag suspension setting. With no power increase it will run 10's.
10 year old chasis? LOL at some of you grasping on ways to cut it down... Where you also critical of Ford having a...
You are correct on the initial numbers. What I meant is the motor that is in the Hellcat now was making 850 crank hp (before the certifications and meeting emmissions regulations).
For $5k, you can get them into the 9's. (DR's, e85 tune, pulleys and driveshaft). Porker or not, that is a...
No mention of limited production and it will NOT be a dedicated track car. However, 305's up front and 315 drag radials from the factory will be an option.
The Demon will be a 2018 model year and they will make standard HCs with 707 hp. The ADR Demon will get a bump.
Not sure how the...
The mountain of mis-information in this thread is just overwhelming.
If you want to get some inside information, go to the Hellcat forum and read ResumeSpeed's posts.
The Demon is going to have more HP (no numbers released), it will be lighter, it will be wider, wider tires and it will not be...
VIR is a fast track, but there are some technical turns, elevation changes through the cork screw.... I had the the all seasons SCREAMING. They are Pirelli's but I believe made specifically for the Hellcat. I'm on my 3rd set of rear tires and the traction with 50% of tread or less gets pretty...
I disagree with some of what you stated above... I have nearly 22k miles on my cat and drive the crap out of it (in all seasons). True, it spins tires at 70 mph, but you can get power to the ground with some practice and in the right settings. On the street, use street suspension and street...
I didn't see you make any ridiculous comments, but if the shoe fits?
I was referring to some of the hate that gets thrown around towards anything not Ford. (like the Hellcat)
Some of you should drive one... It's a fucking blast. Effortless speed, comfortable, 707 hp and 100k...
Congrats on the GT350... I think you'll really enjoy it. The car is a blast to drive, even at the speed limit.
Unfortunately, I think you'll be disappointed in the fit and finish, paint and body panel alignment/gaps.
I don't see the issue... You are going to replace the GT350 you had with an 18....and getting a Raptor.
If you are okay with the decision financially, don't see the issue.
