You won't hit top speed at the Texas Mile. The Texas Mile is a standing mile, not flying mile. That means you are measured from dead stop to 1-mile. You'll never reach top speed from a dead stop within 1-mile.

I've got both Mojave Mile and Texas Mile experience in my BMW. 168 mph is a bit more than I would have expected in a standing mile and 6MT. I would have guessed closer to 163 mph. Very impressive. I was 186 mph in my bored, stroked, supercharged E92 M3, 6MT.
