  1. Did you find exactly what you wanted on a lot?

I've looked a a lot of cars on dealers' lots and I've tortured a lot of dealers with test rides. But they never have anything remotely spec'ed out the way I would want. I can't figure out how they come up with the options list of the cars they have in stock on their lots, including always the...
  2. Picking Out a 2015 V6: A Piece at a Time

See, this is what sticks in my craw about the package. Those wheels are only $155 on the eB. And for $995 you get the Wheel and Stripe package that has really nice 19"s. As it is, they're sill only good for winter tires an you have to get some decent aftermarket rims anyway.
  3. Picking Out a 2015 V6: A Piece at a Time

By the way, I often see posts suggesting that you can just put in a shorter gear for a few hundred bucks. I talked t the Ford dealer's service tech specialist today and I asked him about that. It's thousands of dollars he said, parts and labor. And you have to get the whole pumpkin, not just a gear.
  4. Why the V6 is the Best Choice

Well, we got a lot of knives and a lot of forks so we got to cut something!
  5. Why the V6 is the Best Choice

Oh, and it takes almost 180 pounds off the car, off the front of the car, from the 8. That's good, practically. I got a little carried away. It's a perspective, not an absolute. It's just what my train of thought was, and thinking out loud. I've had such a deuce of a time deciding. A nice...
  6. If Ford Drops the V6 ...

Eeek! Joe, don't look now but you n me got to keep our eyes pealed for some 19" rims.
  7. Why the V6 is the Best Choice

I've taken a lot of well, grief is the only way I can put it, for being indecisive particularly as concerns the eB and V6, though the V8 is in there too. The V6 is the best alternative when one gives profound thought to the question. I don't say this lightly. I had driven several examples of...
  8. If Ford Drops the V6 ...

I thought you'd never ask: V6, DIB, 051A, 3.55, Spoiler Delete. I could be talked into the Ingot Silver or RR. But let's face it, DIB is bitch'n. Please see thread. "Why the V6 is the best choice."
  9. If Ford Drops the V6 ...

Oops. I ordered a 'stang. Yes, that's right. I did. I got it, 'just so.' Just now, about an hour ago. From Bull Valley Ford in Woodstock (where they shot "Groundhog's Day). I have to say, this comment by Joe partly got me to make a decision. $300 below invoice and I keep the rebate...
  10. Ecoboost Problem

Don't regret it. It's a great set-up the way it is. 3.31 and 3.55 aren't that different. 3.31 is probably better for the torque range of the eB, if you aren't gong t race.
  11. Did you find exactly what you wanted on a lot?

    Big time. Nice car!
  12. Picking Out a 2015 V6: A Piece at a Time

I don't normally care about a spoiler either, but the more I look at it and think about it, I think I'd just as soon keep the spoiler on the V6 051A. It distinguishes an otherwise basic car with a feature that the eB and GT PPs don't have. Also, it's so minimalist that it's kind of cute, and it...
  13. Strut tower brace V6

Not really. The eB PP has two braces that connect from the towers to the firewall rather than to each other.
  14. Did you find exactly what you wanted on a lot?

If you didn't order your G6 exactly as you wanted it, were you able to find just what you were looking for, or did you willingly make compromises in cost and/or features to get the car that was at hand and available?
  15. Five-Oh vs. Eco: 2015 Ford Mustang GT Manual and Mustang EcoBoost Manual Performance

Hey, the GT is quicker than the eB! Who would a thunk?
  16. upgrade just speakers

They aren't a brand other than Ford.
  17. 2015 Golf GTI vs. 2015 Mustang V6/EB

A GTi looks lousy, like an econobox. Like a Rabbit. Like a VW. The're all over the place in Europe. All the Euro type mags love it but when the sheeple get one, they find it less rewarding. I just don't care for hatchbacks, I guess. A Mustang is a Mustang.
  18. Picking Out a 2015 V6: A Piece at a Time

The only thing is that if I get a car, I'm not going to order a car, and there won't be a 051A w/spoiler delete on a dealer's lot. SO I would be stuck with it. As for the axle ratio, I hear where you're coming from and I appreciate your definite opinion. The 3.15 may be just right. But I think...
  19. Picking Out a 2015 V6: A Piece at a Time

Here's what frosts my ass. To get the better 18" wheels with the V6 you have to get the 051A package for $995 and than you can EXCHANGE your 3.13 axle ratio for the 3.55 for ONLY $395 more. (You have to take the power seat and the spoiler nonsense). The EcoBoost comes with a 3.31 to begin...
