Got my Ikon diffuser installed today in 2 hours using a jack and jack-stands.
I'll get pictures later this week once the car's cleaned up, but it looks great and the fit is spot-on. Definitely worth the $200, in my opinion. Honestly, there's no reason to get the RTR version for double the price...
Well, I already left the shop and paid
You think there would be long term problems with -2 camber in the rear? I was told it wouldn't be too bad. I'm not super concerned about tire wear if that's the only issue.
Just got back from another shop who's known for alignment work. They gave me a great price, and their machine measured differently than FORD's. They said I didn't need much adjustment at all.
My toe is now corrected, and everything is in the green.
Rear wheels are -2.1 camber, fronts still...
To be my fair, my dealership rarely deals with anything aftermarket. It's almost as if they don't know how to do anything other than stock modifications
There aren't many performance shops near me, either, unless I want to drive an hour out of town.
JakeS550 The FORD representative who helped me out just called m back a minute ago.
He suggested NOT drilling either, and even said the same thing you guys are saying - he said to go someplace else.
Attached are the alignment specs of my car currently. Really doesn't look bad whatsoever, just...
For those wondering, this was my local FORD dealership.
They didn't attempt to align it. I was told that the rear right wheel's toe is slightly off, but everything else is decent.
I asked about having the car aligned without drilling anything out, just for the sake of getting the toe...
I got my Steeda Progressive Springs installed exactly one week ago, and just got back from FORD after scheduling an alignment.
The technician said that they would have to drill out my strut tower bolts to correct the camber/toe in order to align the car properly.
Does this sound right? They...
RaceRed5.0 Looking good!
I have the same howler badge as you, waiting to be installed atm. How'd you put it on? Did you tape the emblem to the backing first and then screw the back plates on after?
Do the open side elements of the grille cause any issues for anybody? Might be a stupid question, but I notice the stock grille is more restricted on the side with the intake outlet. Wouldn't this cause too much airflow?
I need a replacement grille, but I want to make sure I don't run into...
The OP asked a simple question, and now this is blowing up into another "18 vs prior years" debate...
To keep things on track - If you can afford it, I'd grab a manual. I dumped a lot of money into my last mustang, but ended up selling it and losing a lot on it in order to get a stick, because...
The dot matrix & defroster lines on these cars are really hard to tint properly. I went to a guy with 40 reviews on yelp, all 5-stars, raving about how fantastic he is, and my rear window has some really rough spots around the defrosters, and a few bubbles that never went away... debating...
Anybody ever sit down, look at their build list, and debate what the hell to buy next?
Story of my life. No idea where I want to go from here haha. Kind of thinking that there's going to be a surge of aftermarket parts when the 18's come out, so part of me wants to be patient, but the other...
