It appears that every S550 has this issue... as long as it's not leaking I wouldn't mess with it. Could make things worse if you screw it up.
Does ford have a recall notice or anything in regards to this? I'd rather let the dealership mess with it so that if they screw anything up, they can fix it.
Just curious if anybody has had issues with the rear pinion seal starting to leak or anything after lowering your car.
My previous mustang had developed a leak from wear on the pinion seal after lowering it. Not sure if that's an issue with the S550's or not.
I've heard that their chin spoiler for the non-pp cars gets banged up/discolored really easily, especially if your car is lowered, so I'm assuming that would be the case with the new stuff as well.
Looks fantastic, though! I'll probably still buy the side splitters.
Yup! Cervini messaged me back on Instagram and said 12 weeks.
The material used is the same as their window louvers. It feels good, but the texture is VERY easy to scratch/chip, so I'm kind of scared about that. Within 5 minutes of having my window louvers, I managed to scrape the paint off...
The plastic trim and covers in this car are really cheap when you start looking at it.
My C-Pillar trim cover that connects between the quarter window and the rear window actually busted from breaking clips/warping when my tint installer removed it to tint my rear window... really...
Does anybody have issues with getting a jack under their car after lowering? I'm probably going to get the steeda progressives for my DD, but I want to make sure the car won't be too low that I can't jack it up.
Looks good! I plastidipped mine with 5 coats and it's been absolutely perfect so far. The matte look gives it a great contrast to the gloss black of the decklid IMO.
Same boat, I'm really torn on what to do. My 2012 GT was 1.5" all around with a Boss 302 front end, and I scraped everywhere, even on the smallest little dips in the road and parking lots.
I like the BMR SP080 springs, but I don't like raked stance, so I'm really considering getting the Steeda...
Got my MT82 kit in the mail, all the way to California in literally 2 days. Wow. Amazing shipping guys!
Going to get this installed sometime next week and I'll report back with my observations! Super stoked.
I remember the underside of the S197's were REALLY squishy, and the pinch welds sucked. I'm assuming not much as changed on the S550... safe to say the jacking rails will help tremendously.
I'm assuming that you can fit jack stands to the jacking rails, yeah? I keep seeing it advertised as a...
Thanks for the response. I'm not very well versed in wheel geometry and suspension unfortunately. If I were to lower the car without camber plates, and was around -2 camber, would there be any negative aside from some light tire wear on the inside of the tires?
Also, I was planning on having...
I'm looking for a reasonable drop on my daily driver that won't be scrape city, and I'm really tempted to go with the Steeda progressives.
Do I need anything other than the springs for proper install and alignment? My 2012 had about $2500 worth of suspension work, and I really don't feel the...
I removed the radiator cover. It was a really tight fit.
The problem is the fasteners will NOT go on the pegs... I used a 6mm socket to push them on, and they wouldn't budge at all. Pushed too hard, and it broke an entire tab off. I couldn't get the remaining three to move, either - this left a...
