The recipe called for fresh red chili but I only know of one store that carries them and I wasn’t about to cross 3 cities to get there. The charred lemon was a cool surprise though. More sweet, less bite than a fresh lemon...
Giant tiger prawns to start. Chilean Sea Bass and local purple asparagus for the main. The asparagus was the biggest I have ever seen. Everything turned out great! I was concerned about the size of the asparagus but they were tender and tasty
The thing with heirlooms is the low acidity. It makes a perfect BLT tomato. The sweetness balances out the flavor of the sandwich. Its a worthy upgrade IMO
I actually grabbed my first vegetable plant ever today. I picked up a Brandywine Heirloom Tomato plant. Transplanted it and will be tending to it all in the name of a BLT come summer. I’m jealous of your haul there. The ones available here are like water balloons… it’s weird
Sunday ritual = prep and chores. Anyone meal prep?
The grill was going anyway, so added lunch to it. Kobe petite sirloins with a big hunk of Gorgonzola and roasted carrots.
How did you prepare them? Is it as simple as scrape them off the shell? I love scallops and have a hard time finding anything other than the frozen little ones
Do it! It was a hard choice between the filets and some spencer medallions. In the end, the Mrs cast the deciding vote but there is no wrong answer. We’ve been getting some nicer than usual weather here lately as well. It was an absolutely great weekend
Thank you gentlemen. I'm running the closed UPR can with the check valves, so I'm just going to leave the PCV intact. I have the breather where the oil fill cap was, so I hope that alleviates any excess pressure.
So when OEM: vacuum pulls it open, it vents, then closes again under no/light vacuum
Add boost: pressure at WOT does not allow to open, nothing is escaping
Gutting it creates a "free flowing" port essentially that under boost is still venting
That is correct?
If so, then is this needed if...
Looks like an early prototype or knockoff of the BMR part. The OEM piece replaced by the piece you’re holding is a stamped plate. My hammertone brace does not look like the rusted raw metal piece that’s on your car. It also looks like the collars are different. There may have been a revision to...
Trying to eat a little healthier. You know. Concocted a spin on one of our weekend favorites, eggs benedict. Made a potato pancake, topped with a piece of ham steak, an over easy egg, and some greek yogurt hollandaise. Was it as good as the real thing? No. It was damn tasty and didn’t sit heavy...
You're carrying this thread on your shoulders, props to you sir. Sadly I have had no time for any cooking lately. I'm not sure what pan sausage is but I like the looks of what's in that bowl. Any seasoning other than the curing salt? Is the intent for something a kin to breakfast sausage...
