I think the idea of cheap v8 speed is fading. You can get into the v6 stang or camaro for cheap and go mid-high 13s. Wouldn't be my choice but I can't afford any new car right now lol
Tires aren't great and who knows how many passes they actually tried. Good drivers should easily be able to coax another .2-.3s out of the e.t.
The notes about the launch were pretty funny too. Best launch came from yada yada.. Quite easy to do. Cutting a 2.1 60' shouldn't be very difficult lol.
GT350 to LT1? You mean LT4?
I think you can compare any cars. You can compare a GT350 to an SS. You can even compare a GT350 base to a loaded 2SS. I believe some people may decide I have 45-50K to spend on a toy, should I got GT350 base or a laded 2SS. And if that person decides on the...
GT350 will walk an SS, lets be real. The SS with the low end TQ and 8 speed would get a good jump. On the streets they'll seem close unless 2 drivers get into really unsafe speeds. On the track and even drag strip GT350 wins handidly.
I don't see the car as ugly, but I definitely don't like the rear view of the car. I don't like the angled lines starting at the headlights and going down towards the license plate at a~15degree angle and the bulge underneath I hate doing the whole this car looks like another car thing, but it...
1) How many runs to 150 do must people do?
2) There could still be a big difference in distance travelled at that point.
Stock vs stock should be a significant advantage to the Camaro in a straight line. Significant meaning more than negligible, not necessarily huge. Should be close enough...
The new Camaro looks awesome imo. Not crazy about the back end still. I'm sure its a blast to drive. I thought the weight distribution would have been more even though. It looks more and more likely that they did in fact make the weight loss claims. I'd still like to see someone scale it...
Yes it is like 400lbs less. That definitely plays into it. But the ls3 has just as much or more tq and power as the coyote until like 6k rpm where the coyote keeps going. The LT1 has way more to and power but falls off a little more drastically. Realistically the amount of time where the Ls3/lt1...
I haven't driven the Camaro but have driven the C6GS. That push rod motor does just fine in that car. If you didn't like the Camaro it was because of the car, not the LS3.
I suspect that's only the 1LE as well. Haven't driven a 5ht gen but have driven my brothers GTPP and it feels great. Granted I haven't gone around any cones in it.
Scott Evans has got to be out of his mind. There's no way the S550 is inferior to the 5th gen Camaro. It is a significantly better car all around. The only place it is a little close for comfort to the 5th gen Camaro SS is in straight line speed or handling vs the 1LE(tires anyone?). Even in...
Changes in standard equipment are only a valid excuse when it's to justify why theAbortion's Camaro weight predictions are wrong. Now F@cking apologize!! But don't expect to get one yourself if we do see a camaro weigh at under theAbortion's speculated 3780-3820 1SS weight.
Seriously, this is the only thing I hate about the Camaro. I haven't driven one so I don't know how bad the visibility is. I know how to use mirrors so wouldn't too worried about it. But the windows are so tiny. The belt line is too high, or maybe they chopped the roof too low. IDK what it is...
Since your the fastest driver on this forum, why don't we take unworthy drivers out of the equation. which car do you think you could run a faster pass in? 16GT or 16SS?
Whoever's hoping for an all day 11 second stock SS is f*cking high(I don't think many seriously think this is going to happen. I think some of the guys around here are trying to pretend that chevy guys are all hoping for this so when it comes out and runs 12.3-12.5 "all day" they can claim...
