I run the RE-71R and I get good life out of them. People who wear them out are running to high of pressures. Im at 10 track days on the current tires and they still are ready for atleast 5 more.
Has anyone put SS brake lines on their GT W/Brembos yet? I see steeda has some that says fits "All". I'm hoping this helps alittle with weak brakes on the car.
Brake Pads arrived!!! I went with the Carbotech AX6, they should be better then the stock pads and still street able. I hope they don't fail on the road course, and the brake ducts on the car keep them cool enough. It was time to get new pads....HAHAHA
I was at Auto Zone yesterday and they have some popping up in their system. $103.99 with lifetime warranty, I don't know how good they are, but its an option.
Finally got the bushings cut off. Delrin sleeves/bushings on along with lock collars on my moded bar, I went ahead and trimmed the excess off and grinded it smooth. The next time I have to test will be after SEMA at the Optima's Ultimate Street Car shootout, so hopefully it works!!
Yes Aaron and I had the chance to tango a few times this year, and we're both in the shootout in Vegas after SEMA.
There is a lot of benefit from an aggressive rear pad for performance driving. I may just need to take them out and measure to see if something fits. I'm getting the rear pads to...
Has anyone found a company making rear brake pads? Or is there a part number from another year we can use? I'd like to find a aggressive pad for the rear to go with the new Carbotech fronts.
All good information, I did drive the car very very hard and the damn things took it all. Adding brake ducts helped some if you would take it easy a lap but who wants to do that :)
I tried Motul 600 with bad results, pedal feel was very numb, the Motul rep said go to 660. I have used ATE200...
I had my car tuned locally @ Dyno Solutions. They use HP Tuners software. Great strong tune, much better car, found that mid torque it needed to pull out of corners
I used my stock pads until they were done. They lasted a lot longer then I thought. The down fall would be once they get hot they start giving up on track, so bleed your brakes every event. I went with the CARBOTECH x6 , its an autocross pad but from talking with the salesman he said for street...
I've finally gotten my MBRP RACE "black" installed and a week of driving on it, and damn it sounds good. I can't believe the sound. I was expecting for it to be ear piercing after some reviews on the forums, but damn it sounds good!!! I will admit cold start is aggressive but after that it calms...
2 big differnces that make the car better are the Steeda shifter bushing and rear diff bushing inserts.
Save money drill front sway bar, get energy bushings for the rear and lock collars.
Then lets say then the rotation is limited, it has a very strong base. If there is an issuse then it would be good to know. Handling is everything to my project.
So after looking at the Ford parts website it appers there are 2 different front sway bars for the Mustang GT's and there is a $35 some dollar difference. So I assume the added pressed on bushings are an upgrade.
So going back to the guy who couldn't rotate his bar to drill it, I found the same problem. I notice he has a PP car and some others are non-PP cars. Are the front sway bar bushings on the PP cars different? I took my bar out and the front bushings appear to be presssed in, I tried for a little...
