Taking style cues you like is one thing, cloning something is different. As far as shared grilles/headlights,corporate recognition is important for sales,I understand that. The mustang has had it's own identity from day one, more of what I was saying
The Fairlane/Galaxie/Falcon of the 60's all...
As sexy as the Aston is,do we really want a "mini me" of this car with a Ford badge on it? We already have an Aston inspired car with a Ford badge on it.
In the 49 years of evolution has the mustang ever "cloned" or had design cues from another Ford or let alone another car maker? If this car...

Link to the 2 door nascar fusion, rear roofline is less fastback than the mustang, still looks fusion otherwise. Not that the fusion looks terrible
If you want a fusion 2 door its all fine, the design of the fusion works. Why make a Mustang that basically looks like a 2 door fusion. The Kia's all have similar front ends, does not mean I want one
Gm already makes all the front and rear ends of the cars they make interchangeable,im not...
New platform and a warmed over 14 design,I wonder if the roofline will be drastically different from the S197. It seems a lot less fusion like than I first thought
The 05 to 14 has a flow to it,the space between the steering column and the center console for example. If you look at the buttons and center console they lose it for me with the busy look. The taurus/fusion dash looks way more refined,I don't think the look has Mustang appeal but it is clean...
Does it really move the mustang design forward in any way,if this is the finished product NO. The steering column alone looks 90ish and that spacw between the steering column and the center console :brokenheart:
They want to depart and move the mustang into the 21at century by putting this...
This looks like a early 90's Nissan Boxy and all squared off,it's like the design team has gone backwards in time. You guys really thing this boxy squared off crap is a step forward? I do like the roofline ### Sorry was thinking of early 90 Honda interiors, sorry Nissan###
Looking at what other car makers are doing .....getting rid of the bulky "bumper" covers (fascia, rear bumper) and making them more streamlined. I would welcome that. From the front and back my 13 Boss looks like a brick.
There is one thing I don't get. If the slope of the roofline is going to remain "fastback" style, why have a rear quarter window? It does not ruin the flow, but it looks out of place.
The work you did with the actual side view of the car looks good, the clean crisp lines and the "hip" behind the door looks good. I was either hoping for a clean evolution of the 14 or a radical departure. The back end of the 14 on a leaner body would be good.
Keeping styling cues that make it...
PLEASE the Fusion is basically taken a design (Aston) and tweeked it to be an econo box that appeals to the masses. Is it same from side and rear...hardly but that front end looks way to Aston for me.
The green mustang above takes a turn away slightly from the 14 S197 styling and makes it...
