I was close to doing a more aggressive bosozoku setup but I'll start with this... may push the pipes a bit closer to the bumper or get a roush bumper and do a duel offset setup. Not sure yet.
Ill post a video tomorrow but there is no rasp and sounds like a 370z with an exhaust. IMO sounds fantastic and what a v6 should sound like. And it's not obnoxiously loud.
So, I'll most likely be bashed but don't really care, finally achieved the sound I was craving (Nissan 370z).
I had added a 23" cherrybomb after the cats, to a less bent piping to a "sharp" 26" tip that's 4" in diameter
The tips come out of the bumper the same angle as the holes. The tips...
So I live at quite the altitude, I always wondered if the Custom tunes will really work that well since
1. Im at a higher elevation
2. only have 91 octane vs 93
you guys base custom tunes from the dyno characteristics of the doner car.
:shrug:maybe its a noob question but i'm just so torn...
After a few days I have to say, it is a huge improvement over stock shocks. Definitely happy i spent the time to swap springs over (again) and do the rear swaybar. Fell back in love with driving this pony. Now I just need to pull the damn trigger on the strut and cowl brace
Side note, I had the eibachs sportlines springs on the stock v6 shocks before. Hoped the progressive springs would eliminate that front bounce and it lessened it for sure, but it was still there..
Ok, so first of all, the front bounce is eliminated now. I had this obnoxious boaty-like sway/ bounce in the front when cornering aggressively. Now it feels more solid and less roll.
Second, feels like the turn in is much more responsive and a tad more oversteer now. Hugs my favorite onramp...
So I had gotten my hands on a free set of GT shocks and struts and sway bars.
I had the EIbach Sportline lowering springs.
The Front struts and rear shocks look identical, other than different part numbers. But I felt a much slower rebound, and compression feel on the GTs.
Front swaybars are...
Now on the market, is the GT350 Brace.
Does the engine itself sit lower? I was hoping the top would be slightly taller than the regular GT causing it to have a bit more clearance. Ill try and measure the distance of both and see what i come up with..
link to GT350 strut brace here
This is exactly how i pictured the perfect retrofit!!! Omg and the all black bezels is just pure sexy. What face plate did you use? Just cut up the oem one?
Mind doing a brake down of price and what your total cost was?
Jeez i just cant stop looking at this..
so in theory, if i put on the gt shocks and struts and swaybars front and back on my base v6, it will be a bit stiffer and handle better than oem.
Good, because just got my hands on some gt shocks and struts and swaybars.
SIde note,
Are all the oem shocks and struts twin tube? or are...
Seriously it sucks.. I did much better my first run without burning out before hand. The other two times I warmed up the tires I spun all in first and part of second. What do you guys launch at?
