  3. Direction of the rubber shift boot

Hi all, I am now just triple checking everything bc of the hard time I had with this shifter install. I see in the steeda installation video that the arrow on the rubber shift boot is pointing toward the back of the car. Then I see other installations show the arrow pointing toward the front of...
  4. Illinois Sold: OEM Mirror Covers - Black

Hi all, I have a set of OEM mirror covers. They were from my 2018 GT premium. I painted them gloss black (multiple coats of primer, gloss black and clear coat). Turned out looking pretty good but the sanding could have been smoother. $50 shipped.
  5. What did I screw up? Shifter install slop...

Exactly why I wanted to post it. In the instructions I never realized that there is a rubber bushing on each side of the shifter assembly. The instructions mention not losing the one from sliding off. However, those also must go back into the corresponding slots when reassembling. Hopefully...
  6. What did I screw up? Shifter install slop...

Fyi it was the rubber bushing out of place. Shop charged me an hour of labor and now all is well.
  7. Virginia sold

I would have been all over this had I not just gotten my knob a couple weeks ago. GLWS!
  8. Convertible Windscreen alternative, courtesy of Audi!

No, windows were down in both scenarios. If windows are down, should this then be expected. This is my first convertible with a windscreen like this.
  9. Convertible Windscreen alternative, courtesy of Audi!

One thing I noticed was the one time I drove on the highway, I did have the screen flip down. Did it once on a hard acceleration pull as well. Is there something that can be tightened to have it stay in place a little better?
  10. What did I screw up? Shifter install slop...

Hindsight for sure. Tough to know who's advice to follow sometimes. Live and learn.
  11. What did I screw up? Shifter install slop...

Well I waive the white flag. Gonna bring it to a shop. I just can't get it to separate. Sucks. :-(
  12. What did I screw up? Shifter install slop...

I'll try that when I get back to it tomorrow morning. Thanks for the tip. I have a heat gun.
  13. What did I screw up? Shifter install slop...

Thanks. I'm 99% sure I didn't properly install the back bushing. I just can't get to it. I've even tried banging on it with a mallet. I'll go back to trying to pry but there's not gap to get the screwdriver in, from what I can tell.
  14. What did I screw up? Shifter install slop...

See attached. I can't separate this. Used permatex ultra black to seal it since my gasket was destroyed.
  15. What did I screw up? Shifter install slop...

No I installed the street shifter as well 555-7316. I can't get the cover off to get back to the linkage, where the shifter gets installed.
  16. What did I screw up? Shifter install slop...

Well now I can't get to the linkage. The rtv I used has it completely stuck together. Any tips to pry them loose?
  17. What did I screw up? Shifter install slop...

I think I may already know the issue. Those stupid black rubber washer that falls out from the linkage.... I am guessing I didn't install those in the proper locations. Ugh gonna check that tomorrow and report back. That would do it, right?
  18. What did I screw up? Shifter install slop...

Hi all, Ok I installed the steeda shifter and base bushing. I struggled with this install and it shows. The car shifts in all gears, but has a ton of slop (can move the lever a ton in neutral and in gears). Also seems like it is closer to the 1-2 shift rather than centered. I also hear a bit...

  20. Ford Performance Tune for 2018+ GT

Car runs great for me. I just am not fond of the fit. Quick question, can we use this tuner module to run forscan or do I still need a separate cable?
