  1. Gt350 all season tires

Not too sure how the car's handling characteristics would be effected with a 285/40 N Spec on the front. It's pretty damned wide for a 285. Maybe a call to Ford Performance and speaking with one of the Ford reps. who provide guidance about our cars would help.
  2. Gt350 all season tires

I also read that cautionary note. I have 5K on the car and there is no difference that I can tell in the way the front and rears adhere during spirited cornering or stopping. I brought this disparity up to my racing tire expert who had recommended these tires and he believes it is more about...
  3. Driver's seat rubbing against center consol

I have this automatic seat feature activated in my 19 GT350. When I get into the car with the automatic seat adjustment activated, it would be way back to allow easy access. Love it! When I get into the car I push the start button once and the seat moves forward to my pre-set position, then I...
  4. Driver's seat rubbing against center consol

Well, after much consternation, I got some silicone lubricant gel (kinda like Vaseline, only thicker) and applied it to the lateral portion of the console that is rubbing against the seat side bolster, and no more noise!! It's probably a temporary fix, but it's lasted about a week now and has...
  5. Reverse lockout recall

Ford is never too forthcoming with specificity. The best explanation from my technician is that this faulty part was within the shifter mechanics and it was easier to just replace the whole shifter with the corrected part than to take it all apart, install the corrected part, reassemble it, and...
  6. Reverse lockout recall

From what I understand there was a faulty part installed in the effected shifter mechanisms. It will eventually fail and cause the shifter to go into reverse without pulling up on the lock out collar. It also makes the shifter feel weird and wonky!
  7. Reverse lockout recall

Dealer owner has been a personal friend for 30 plus years! That helps! I still kinda like the smoothness of the original stock shifter on the 2019 GT350 and I do miss the collar reverse entry on the Ford unit. I had it on my 2000 SVT Contour and really liked it.
  8. Reverse lockout recall

My 2019 GT350 was built in February 2019. I had the issue described shortly after I took delivery in July 2019. It would go into reverse w/o needing to pull up the reverse collar. The whole shifter pattern felt out of sorts. The replacement shifter from Ford was back-ordered due a large number...
  9. Placed my order nearly two months ago; no updates. Normal?

It also may be the shut down of production during January and February due to the summer tires installed on these cars. It just may be that your order hasn't been picked up yet. Just keep checking with your dealer.
  10. Pro cup 2 tires too cold?

Ford and Michelin both warn us, in print, not to drive these summer only tires in cold temperatures. There is a reason for these warning. I think they know a lot more than any of us do concerning the safety characteristics of these tires. I am not risking my car, my personal safety, or other's...
  11. 2019 GT350 Cup 2s long distance durability

Absolutely what the guys said. The Cup2's are dangerous in cold temps and can be irreparably damaged. Have it transported and save yourself some heartbreak.
  12. Shifter rattle even with MGW?

No noise or significant vibration from my MGW that is installed on my 2019 GT350. I had my SVT technician install it.
  13. 2019-2020 exposed carbon dash... glare?

I ordered my carbon fiber dash. I have no glare issues after 5K plus miles.
  14. 2019 Oil Consumption update & Question

Same here. I have a JLT passenger side catch can. I dump the oil it contains and don't put it back in the engine.
  15. Dont ever let anyone valet your car

Funny! I skirt the "walking" issue with my wife by dropping her off at the front of the restaurant and then go park the car myself. Happy wife, happy life! I don't use valets either. Hell, many of them don't know how to shift a manual. The mind boggles!
  16. 2019 Oil Consumption update & Question

I have 5,500 miles on my 19 (non-R) with no oil usage. The dealer changed it at 1000 miles at my request. Haven't tracked it yet, but it has seen redline a number of times and it gets driven, briskly! I'm completely satisfied with the engine so far!
  17. ALL GT350/GT350R LEADS, ALLOCATIONS, DEPOSITS [READ FIRST POST]

All of what you all say is spot on. I've been buying cars and having them serviced at Century Ford in Mt. Airy, Md. for over 35 years. It's a relatively small dealership which provides it's customers with friendly and attentive service and sales. They are honest and trustworthy. I've bought 17...
  18. Driver's seat rubbing against center consol

This is not the area where it is rubbing. It is about 4" back from the front of the right, lateral, bolster. The seat belt connector is not involved.
  19. Driver's seat rubbing against center consol

Yeh, the first time it happened, the wife accused me of farting! This has only started since cold weather. I'm going to see if my SVT technician has any ideas!
