  1. Quick intro & need help with oil leakage/pressure issues

That's what happened to me, as well. It's difficult to keep old oil from spilling onto the underbody tray. It stops in a day or two after the spilled oil finally abates.
  2. 19 350 shifter recall

Alain, just be mindful that almost all dealerships have a policy of installing warrantied parts by utilizing their own technicians. Not saying that you couldn't wheel and deal and get a dealership to take the defective linkage and give you the warrantied new linkage to install yourself, but it...
  3. GT500 blower on GT350

With a 12:1 compression ratio paired with a supercharger from a GT500....? I think you'd be on borrowed time.
  4. What did you do to your GT350 today?

Not to mention all the foreigners that populate the DC area who have no past driving experience in a traffic ridden venue!
  5. Heritage Decal Issue & Availability

Don't let the minutia get you down. You've made a good decision. Drive and enjoy your car, life is unpredictable!
  6. Enough with unsubstantiated Post of broken Engines

I have a 2019. No engine issues or oil usage after 6K miles. Given the number of GT350's that have been produced since model year 2016, I think the number of engine failures I have read about on this and other forums (assuming they are accurate) is infinitesimal compared to the number of cars...
  7. Replaced Voodoo Engine

I also think the GT350 engine is pretty substantial and reliable. I don't have the production figures for each full model year since 2016, but it's probably similar to the GT500's. In round figures I'd think around 4K cars a year, so that's approximately 16K cars out on the street. Given the oil...
  8. Limited-Edition Shelby GT350, GT350R Heritage Edition Package

I would be interested in obtaining the rocker arm stripes for my 2019 white GT350. Does anyone know what the part number is for these lower stripes or are they unavailable if you do not have a car with the HEP option?
  9. List of changes to the 2019 GT350

6K on my 2019 and no oil usage or issues.
  10. Hood Issue

The fit and finish on Audi's, BMW's and MB's, even on their least expensive models, is usually far and above what we see on current Mustangs. Ours go down the same line as the base Mustangs. I also paid more for my GT350 than the well optioned BMW 340Xi the wife drives, but damn, what a...
  11. Hood Issue

Mine is a 2019 GT350. Hood is off a bit in the same location as the OP's. I'm leaving it alone. It's a Mustang, not a German made car!
  12. Field Service Action 19B34

Given some of the horror stories on the forums about dealership incompetence, it looks like your dealer is one of the good ones. Dealership service departments sometimes get backed up due to unplanned additional mechanical issues with the cars they service. It happens. Picking you up and or...
  13. List of changes to the 2019 GT350

Whether its the seat side bolster or the console, it really doesn't matter. I spoke to my SVT technician, who I trust implicitly, and he indicated there was no lateral adjustment for the seat or the console. Our weight on the seat also contributes to the eventual widening of the seat area, as...
  14. List of changes to the 2019 GT350

Yep my 19 with the up-graded seats has the rubbing issue. I put silicone lubricant on the side of the console and after two weeks, no more squeaking noise. It's not visible and will not damage the material of the seat or the console. Win-win!
  15. GT350 Window Tint

In Maryland and most other States there is a percentage of tint darkness allowed. Each State seems to have their own percent degree or number. Most States do not allow any tinting of the front windshield. Police officers are not fond of tinted windows during a traffic stop as it prohibits them...
  16. GT350 Window Tint

It makes the car look cool to some owners, but reduces your nighttime visibility. I'm not a fan of it. It is a darkened, plasticized material that is placed on the inside window. It has been popular in southern states with high temperatures and does reduce the heat that is absorbed by the glass...
  17. GT 350 OIL CHANGE AFTER SITTING FOR 5 MONTHS

Good points about warranty concerns. Look, the Ford engineers who designed our engines certainly know what oil is best for these, almost, race engines. They are also keenly aware that they don't want to put an oil in their pride and joy that won't hold up and preserve the longevity of these...
  18. GT 350 OIL CHANGE AFTER SITTING FOR 5 MONTHS

Not to be critical of anyone's opinion, but I think some folks go a bit overboard concerning oil brands to use in our GT350's. I've used Ford recommended oil for all my past Shelbys and other Ford products with absolutely no issues. Don't over-think this subject. I'd change the oil (Mototcraft)...
  19. Gt350 all season tires

I think, given the GT350's propensity to tramline, that a 285 N Spec might fit but I think you'd have some serious tramlining issues due to the width of the tire. I went with the 275/40/19 in the front and the tramlining that was present with the stock Cup 2's disappeared.
  20. Field Service Action 19B34

I'm fairly certain that no Ford dealer will give you the replacement shifter (or parts) to install yourself. I think they are required to do the install at their dealership. Not sure whether this notice results in a whole new shifter mechanism with the faulty part already replaced or if they...
