I have a friend who owns a tire store and also provides guidance and race tires for many local SCCA and race car drivers. I asked him to suggest an all season tire that wouldn't tramline, wouldn't effect the speedometer accuracy, and provide good handling. We installed these tires: Front=...
As said, walk away. A substantial impact like that damages or misaligns other internal parts of the car that might not raise their heads until they fail later on due to the initial damage. A ten year warranty would not move me from my initial decision to find another car. It's just not worth the...
Since March of 2019, I've been back and forth with the Covercraft Company who produces the Colgan Car Bra for various vehicles. (covercraft.com/colgan) phone: 800-274-7006. I've bough several for my past GT500's and BMW's and found them always to be high quality and great for protection on long...
I have an observation about super charging these engines. Upon the introduction of the GT500 in 2007, it had 500 HP from it's 5.4 engine. In some following MY's the HP ratings increased. The 5.4 got to 540 in 2012 and then jumped to 662 with the 5.8 liter engine. The GT350 started at 526 HP in...
The responses you've received are all spot on. Life is short and unpredictable. Today you're here; tomorrow you're not. Life is too precious a personal commodity to squander on something that doesn't make you happy. Each time I light up my new GT350, it puts a smile on my face. I came from three...
Beautiful car, Mark! Boy you didn't waste any time getting it all polished up! In what condition was the paint when you took it into custody? Bet they had to do some serious clay barring before the other protective treatment was applied! Dark colors are a PITA! Glad you've gotten to drive it a...
Spoke with Mark. All is okay, Feces's hit the fan over the weekend and a few other minor hiccups, but he will be back on the forum shorty after he gets things back in order. Pictures are coming!
WOOO!! HOOO! The Eagle has landed!!!:clap::clap::handsinair: Congratulations, Mark! The waiting has come to a well deserved conclusion! Six months! Ugh! So glad you have gotten your car and will be enjoying that melodious exhaust note and go-kart handling! Break her in easy and that engine...
I usually hang out at FordGT500.com forum and have done so since early 2008. A great group of people over there; many of whom I've met personally, and developed long term friendships. That said, this forum has some great people as well, and since purchasing my 2019 GT350, I've enjoyed visiting...
My engine builders are Bernie Sanders and Pocahontas Warren. Every time I drive the car it veers sharply to the left, wants free gasoline, and stalls!
I think that's a bit too big. It may clear with or without spacers but I'm betting it will tramline so badly that you'll hate it. I found the 295/35/19's that came on my 19 GT350 were very subject to tramlining during public street driving.
Very nice of you to help Mark out. We've been PMing and he's ready to get his car!! I used to be able to take the salesman and drive over to the Jessup train yard and pick up my new car without having to wait for a transport. That was 20 years ago and now they won't even let you in the gate...
I haven't seen anyone post results of the OEM broken shifter being replaced by a new updated OEM shifter. I received a new, up-dated, OEM shifter from Ford a month after I had an MGW installed due to Ford's inability to provide a replacement shifter in a timely manner. It's sitting in a box in...
John, from my understanding, they will crack in colder temps. At least other tires (Goodyears) on the GT500 models have cracked. I found that summer only tires start losing their adhesion capabilities when temps drop below 60 degrees. They are dangerous to drive in winter temps as they lose...
