  1. 17/18 350R vs. 19/20 350

Tomster is dead nuts right. I have a 2019 GT350 with the Cup 2's. They have different rubber chemistry than do the Cup 2's on the R version. I also noted that the non-R Cup 2's are quite good in wet weather as compared with the R optioned Cup 2's. My Cup 2's do tramline on uneven road surfaces...
  2. Rimblades

My wife is a professional curb rash seeker with her BMW!! I'm tired of having them repaired and re-surfaced! Maybe this might help?
  3. Dealer overfilled oil

My point was why do it yourself, risking a spill, when your issue is with the dealership's possible mistake? Most of us could drain off a given amount of oil, probably without too much of a spillage, but why not let the dealer do it, "IF" you trust them?
  4. Dealer overfilled oil

Yes, removing a small amount of oil, yourself, is courting a mess! Let the dealership do it. Your dealer may have overfilled it, but maybe not. However, the only "accurate" way to check your "full" oil level on the dip stick is this: Drain the old oil, installing a new filter, put in 10 quarts...
  5. Limited-Edition Shelby GT350, GT350R Heritage Edition Package

Don't mind Eric, he likes to speak in car code sometimes!
  6. Hood and Fender Gap Uneven at Front

They are! Our BMW 340i has no fitment/alignment issues. Audi's are just as good, on average.
  7. Hood and Fender Gap Uneven at Front

As you said, fender/ hood alignment on 2015 through the current MY have alignment problems. Take it to your dealer and see if they have someone competent enough to correct it without making it worse.
  8. What did you do to your GT350 today?

Do these vinyl covers come in different colors and if so, could you provide the info on the manufacturer?
  9. Loose transmission tone ring nut?

Agree with madweazl .Sounds like your clutch is going bad.
  10. Best Street Tires for Gt350

The answer is quite speculative and subjective as there are so many factors that come into play with each individual's driving habits. Sounds like you are not beating the car up so I'd guess around 30K miles before you need new replacement tires.
  11. Best Street Tires for Gt350

I have the Cup 2's on my 2019 GT350. They do tramline on bumpy roads. They also have a wear factor of 180 and therefore their life expectancy is limited. The Cup 2's on the regular GT350 have far better traction in the rain than do the Cup 2's that Ford puts on the GT350R. (different rubber...
  12. Limited-Edition Shelby GT350, GT350R Heritage Edition Package

Agreed. I ordered my 2019 in early February 2019. It was built in March w/o a steering wheel because the Mexican vendor that produced the steering wheels went on strike. that set back all production of GT350s for months. Then it was held, again, due to a faulty part in the shifter mechanism...
  13. Limited-Edition Shelby GT350, GT350R Heritage Edition Package

I think the build quality from 2015 MY to the present to the 2020 GT350 is probably about the same. One thing I have noticed between the 2013 MY and my current 19 GT350 is metal thickness of the body panels. I sometimes used to lean on the side of my 2013 when filling it with gas. Seemed pretty...
  14. Limited-Edition Shelby GT350, GT350R Heritage Edition Package

QC, for the Ford Mustangs "has" deteriorated a bit over the recent years. I've been buying them, new, since 1984. Since that time, I've purchased eight Mustang's (four of them Shelbys), two SHO's, and one SVT Contour and all were pretty decent vehicles as far as fit/finish and paint were...
  15. What did you do to your GT350 today?

I found the same to be true on my new 2019 GT350. Always check torque for lug nuts on a new cars!
  16. Engine died at idle no start

Yes, it is unusual for a portion of the spark plug to break off w/o something else striking it. Keep us updated and best of luck for a happy outcome!
  17. Engine died at idle no start

That could be; however, I don't think this explains the number of oil consumption problems that have occurred from the 2016 through 2018 (?) MY GT350 engines.
  18. street tires and wheels for 2019 gt 350

I researched buying a set of aftermarket wheels for my 19 GT350 so that I could have the original wheels and Cup 2 tires for summer use, and another set of wheels and all season tires for cold weather use. There's some fitment issues, lug nut compatibility, and structural strength issues to...
  19. Engine died at idle no start

I think you may be wrong about the oil consumption issue possibly stemming from Ford's plasma wire arch process for lining the cylinder walls of it's performance engines. This process was started with the 2011 GT500 vehicles and has been used on thousands of Shelby GT500's since that time. There...
