I agree with Kilgore, but I'd add Castrol SRF brake fluid. Thankfully it is a once per year expense and runs about $70.
Regarding tires, brake pads, other consumables, I would wait on those for now. Drive what you have and see how you like the car and doing track days. It is not for...
I have owned and sold several cars, but none were as modified as my 2016 GT (mods in sig). Car is posted on FB Marketplace at the moment.
I did note anyone wanting to take it for a test drive needs to show me a valid DL and proof of insurance. I've never asked this before, but I don't want...
I am biased, but I think the Mach 1 is one of the best looking cars on the road and certainly better looking than that C8.
What are your plans for the car? DD, track, Sunday cruises?
Should Ford have used this car as the basis for their GTD IMSA car? Every time I watch a race, I just think the Mustang GTD is aerodynamically inferior to the other competitors. Granted, I am not an aero expert, but it doesn't pass the eyeball test.
Offseason additions to my M1 included Steeda 2 piece front rotors, titanium shims, and G-Loc R16F/R12R pads. I already use Castrol SRF fluid, Steeda SS lines, and Vorschlag (sp?) deflectors. I had zero issues with braking hard and no "cooking" of the pads when back in the paddock. Usually...
I wanted to buy them when they were released, but the size I wanted was on backorder until at least mid-March and I didn't want to risk not having tires before my first track day. I also am familiar with the RS since I use them on both of my track cars and have zero complaints with the tires.
I guess this question could go for any 200TW track use tire. I use these for 20 min HPDE sessions, not AutoX.
I just put a new set on my Mach 1, but the set on my GTI has some wear on 2 of the tires. I'll post pics when i get home.
Went to the track this weekend. Plan was to take my GTI for both days, but the car tried to kill me in session 1, so I went home, prepped my M1 and took it Sunday. Had fuel cut tracking out of left turns with anything less than 1/2 tank of gas. I'd start the session with slightly more than...
I've had fuel cut on multiple occasions while on track, mainly tracking out of a long left turn. I ordered this, just haven't installed it yet because I won't be able to track my M1 until May.
I'll probably take crap for this, but a Procharger. Yes, the car is an absolute blast to drive, but adding forced induction of any type (Not a dig against Procharger), opens a can of worms that constantly needs fixed.
Which kit is completely up to you and how you plan on using the car. I track my Mach 1, so I bought and installed the handling ultimate kit. That was a no-brainer for me.
If you are set on the Steeda kit, and have questions, you really should contact Steeda. They are a great source of...
The good thing about a Mustang is you can easily customize it how you see fit. As long as you like it. Is it the "best looking orange Mustang"? I'm partial to EWheels car.
