  1. Why do you own a Mustang (or Mustangs)?

Cheap? Well, when we bought ours they were. Now days the Mustang is outrageous.
  2. Why do you own a Mustang (or Mustangs)?

1st car was an 83 GLX convertible. Not a bad first car for a 16 year old at the time. Since then I had another 83 GLX, but with the 5.0, a highly modified 85 GT that almost every day I regret selling, and a 91 GT. I did not like the 94-2014 versions, but when I saw the S550 at the OKC auto...
  3. Found a great deal on a new PP radiator. About to install it w/170 Reische. What coolant do you use?

I'd blame that fan. Air flow is key to underhood temp control.
  4. Found a great deal on a new PP radiator. About to install it w/170 Reische. What coolant do you use?

If you are Procharged, don't expect to see a massive drop in CHTs with the PP radiator. It will be better, but unless you have hood louvers, it won't make a massive difference. However, getting that gunky stock radiator out should improve things. Not a bad $100 upgrade though and good find.
  5. The damn fuel pump issue.....

Yes, I did. I'll definitely ask for help if I need it.
  6. The damn fuel pump issue.....

KPM800 ordered. Hopefully this will fix the issue. Will report next track day.
  7. Testing new products at Hallett today. TL:DR boo DBA, Yay Steeda

Per a different post I made, I decided to try DBA race pads at Hallett today. However, I was left underwhelmed and concerned during the bed in process last week, so I put my G-Loc R16's back on and waited until the last session to try the DBA's. I installed the pads and did a quick bedding...
  8. The damn fuel pump issue.....

I will say the fuel cut is a bit better with the DW400 compared to the stock pump but this cutting over 6500 is new. But I will look into that KPM kit. Thank you!
  9. The damn fuel pump issue.....

Tracking my M1 today. Hot AF in Oklahoma (100 F by 11 am). I did swap the stock fuel pump out for the DW400 but still having fuel cut issues when tracking out of a fast left turn. Now I am getting fuel cut/hesitation when I am over 6500 RPM. Livernois Flex tune. I did go from using full E85...
  10. DBA Race Performance Brake pads....anybody use these yet?

Thank you for this information! Ya, the more I think about it, the more I just want to avoid any issues and put my R16's on and call it a day. I'll do a spirited drive tomorrow morning and decide.
  11. DBA Race Performance Brake pads....anybody use these yet?

I just finished bedding the pads and I’m a bit skeptical of how they will work on track. They are quiet. Like normal street pad quiet. On about the 4-5th hard deceleration, they became more grabby. Nowhere near the R16’s but better than the stock Mach 1 pads. Next update on Sunday. Definitely...
  12. Does anyone know what sets off engine heat protection / limp mode?

On the 16GT in my sig, the CHT's were a massive issue on track. I think that car went into limp mode around 260 F. No idea what the oil, trans, or diff temps were. Do you have gauges to monitor these? Definitely datalog next HPDE session.
  13. DBA Race Performance Brake pads....anybody use these yet?

They are brake pads. I know, I was a bit surprised to see they had pads too. I'm bringing my G-Loc's just in case of any issues. Price is good and at the rate I go through pads, it is palpable...
  14. DBA Race Performance Brake pads....anybody use these yet?

I just put these on my Mach 1 and will be testing/reporting on these this Sunday. I have been exclusively using G-Loc R12 and R16 but want to try out others. Has anyone used these and if so, thought? Flyhalf's post about his car being faster than the GTD got me stalking his build page and I...
  15. Did a thing! Now regretting it?

My cats lasted about 5k miles after I put the Procharger on. I never upgraded the half shafts on that car, but I never launched it from a dig. I did, however, replace the half shafts on my Mach 1 yesterday. Surprisingly easy job that took only about 2.5 hours. Stock right side was leaking...
  16. Possible Venturi fuel tank issue

If it is the 2020 GT in his sig, it is in the recall. OP, if you have never removed the necessary parts to access the pumps, there is no need to be afraid. Removal and replacing them is extremely easy.
  17. Are headers worth it over just going catless + catback

After trading in a Mustang with catted LTHs I 100% agree with this. The only reason to go to LTHs are if you are running FI and melt your cats. The $queeze i$nt worth the juice. Put that money into something else to improve performance.
  18. Drilled rotors wanted

IMHO, if you want a REALLY good brake porn look, a 2 piece slotted would be the way to go. The Steeda 2 piece is gorgeous. Girodisc makes a damn good rotor too. Plenty of options on American Muscle's website, but a good 2 piece is sexy.
  19. Guys w/2018 up cars, did putting all 3 Race Louvers RT hood vents on stop the hood flutter? What else did you notice? Thank you.

I did get the plates. Fast delivery and they are well made. Thank you! Can you PM me the price for the vents? Agree on the "working up the courage". I put Race Louvers in a spare hood on my GTI. Measure 50 times, cut once kind of thing.
  20. Are people just not buying Mustang GTs (or cars for that matter)?

Ya, I just spoke to my insurance agent to inquire about this because my ExST likely has the same "severe, extensive exterior damage" indicator. Hopefully they can get CarFax to edit that because I'll get raped on the trade in.
