Ok, I agree partially with what you are saying. But the Ranger thing has no bearing on the 4 door Mustang. A nicely equipped Ranger is F-150 XL money. That's a very base F-150 with none of the amenities the Ranger Lariat offer. And not everyone wants a full size truck. I didn't. I cross shopped...
"if the car is any good the name won't matter" - carroll shelby
If the car looks anything like the renderings shown earlier, it will be gorgeous.
If it does have a 480+HP V8 with the potential for extra ponies through hybridization, RWD or AWD offerings, has a usable back seat, and is priced...
This x 100. I am not a fan of aftermarket hoods, lights, etc. But that is my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own. Personally, I think the S550 visually looks perfect as it is. I suggest putting mods into things that make the car more fun to drive. Keep it. You will be hard pressed...
I was cross shopping the SS and the Camaro SS back in Feb 2017 and eventually bought the 2016 GT I had. Trying to find the SS in OKC was impossible. If I would have been able to find one, I probably would have picked it over my GT. Only reason I didn't buy the Camaro was because of the...
What tires do you use? I've been meaning to ask.
Also, you should make the short trip to OK this Saturday for the 1st ever Mustangs of Hallett VIP event.
I can tell you with 100% certainty the DW400 WILL NOT fix the issue. I tried it, but still had fuel cut issues tracking out of fast left turns and when revving over 6k on hot track days.
I installed the KPM800 last weekend and will be giving it a tough test on 8-15. Track day at Hallett...
I think Ford missed a golden opportunity to call this a GT4D. Say it out loud and you will get it.
Ford is using the Mustang name because the name sells. Nobody will buy this if it called the Taurus, 500, Crown Vic, etc. Am I disappointed they are diluting the "Mach" name again? Yes. But if...
I bought these from Amazon and use them on my Mach 1 and GTI. Both cars are tracked and the lug nuts get HOT on track. I have been extremely impressed with these. They are open ended and long, so plenty of surface area for a 17mm to grab it and not strip it...
Gotcha.
Budget fix.......new stock rotors and upgrade pads. Will be good.
But I am a brake-porn kind of guy. The GT350 kit would be awesome. And installing the half shafts is easy. I just installed them in my Mach 1.
What is your current setup?
What issues with braking are you having?
Oftentimes, just flushing brake fluid with good fluid (RBF 600 for street, Castrol SRF for track) and getting better pads (G-Loc R8 for street, higher for track) make a huge difference.
It looks great! However, I am having a hard time believing the seats really weigh over 30lbs. Did you happen to weigh them? I have the delete kit sitting in my garage but just have not been motivated to install it.
That looks good. The mounting hole on my 2021 is horizontal. I don't think I have a vertical hole, but I'll look when I get home. Did you reinstall the K brace and strut tower brace?
F that is a beautiful car.
I hope one day I can work up the courage to cut into my fender and hood to install the Race Louvers I bought that are just sitting on a shelf in my garage.
There is a small hole on the fender just under the strut tower brace. I used one of the bolts to mount it there, but I will likely end up drilling 2 holes in the K member or strut tower brace to attach it there.
Agree with sway bars. While I do not autocross my Mach 1, I noticed a huge improvement in cornering on track after installing the Steeda Comp bars.
Also......ya.......toss those Nittos.
KPM800 arrived on Saturday and I installed it yesterday. Install was not difficult at all. Took my car for a spirited drive and had no hiccups when revving it to 7,500 RPM on multiple occasions. The real test will be Aug 15th for my next track day.
