I've been looking at that for a little while since I have the 3.31 rear end. I'm thinking that's what I'll go with as soon as I have a problem with the LSD, ring & pinion, etc... Or, when I run out of other upgrades to do.
Doesn't really matter as long as you enjoy it. Why would you want to deny us getting to enjoy discussing pictures of it? Put anything on it you think is right and post photos. We'll let you know how you did.;)
This part is interesting.
"Yes, you may use the licensed repair shop of your choice, unless the repair is covered by a recall, voluntary repair program or the manufacturer's warranty"
Does that mean if Ford refuses to cover it under manufacturer warranty, that it will be covered, or will...
Interesting. I have my coverage through them and my Jeep is actually insured for its modifications they will cover and to be used off road. I'm sure the day I roll it down a rock hill and total it, they will have to pay, but they will also drop my policy immediately. If they would cover a popped...
I hate that the EB auto doesn't show what gear you are in unless you are using the paddles. Love that the Cobb programmer changes that. My EB shows what gear I'm in now even if I'm not using the paddle shifters.
My guess is that the safeguards in the ECU tend to do a pretty good job of protecting against it. However, if you have a little bit of a defect or damage already, it might go boom. Of course, that's just a hopefull guess.
The BOV adapter I installed yesterday is now laying on my counter. No more giant diesel sounds. I also started working on dressing up the engine compartment a little. Still waiting for the engine cover unfortunately.
Thanks for the vids. Any chance of a description of the install and a little talk about the vacuum source? The next round of upgrades will include my Tune+ wastegate actuator and probably one of these BOV's.
The percentage of stock motors popping is very low. Also, the drivetrain warranty is 5 years which is usually long enough for any problems to show up. You can also purchase an extended warranty. According to your logic, Ford shouldn't have released the amazing Coyote motor that had some pop at...
Most people aren't having any problems. Many of us have our EB's tuned to make much more power than stock without problems. I was in the import tuner scene before I got into Jeeps. Popped a motor in a tuner with a tuning mistake and a big shot of N2O. Didn't complain about it and dropped a new...
Interested to see what happened with yours.
I can't speak for the others, but I was only trying to warn about the potential of LSPI since it looked like it may be the case based off the first post in this thread. I know that it is definitely not the only way to have one of these motors fail...
Never said it was the drivers fault. I even told him that I wasn't trying to say he did something stupid even if it may have come across that way. Just tried to point out that out of the small percentage of these motors that have blown, most have been in 5th or 6th gear passing someone.
The...
