Thought I would add a thread here for those waiting or considering buying a 2019.
Back in April I ordered GT premium, details in sig. Took delivery July 12. I took it straight to the detail shop for PPF and ceramic. Took them awhile, however, I picked it up today and did a bunch of...
Finally took my 2019 home. Picked up from the dealer last Thurs., went straight to a detail shop for Suntek and ceramic coating. Got the whole front end, 18" roof line, rear quarters and rocker panel, mirrors.
I picked up my 2019 last week and took it straight to a detail shop for Suntek and ceramic coating. Also changed out the stock clutch spring for the Steeda. What a great difference.
Pictures in the photo thread.
Next up is Steeda jacking rails and ZL1 splash guards.
The current employee pricing, costco, $500 delivery allowance which took off $7100 off MSRP for my car. The current interest rates through Ford credit are 3.49/60 and 4.49/72. My original deal was xplan and 1500 delivery for 4700 off MSRP, interest 0.99/60 or 1.99/72
I got full front (bumper, full hood, front quarters) rocker panel, mirrors, A pillar, 18" roof strip, full rear quarter. Full car in ceramic. Main point of the PPF is prevent stone chips. While you can do more areas, it's going to cost more. The ceramic is great to protect against scratches...
Go to a couple different dealers (different brands if able). They should all be relatively the same. For my '11 F150, 4 different places, only one was 1k higher. I sold it privately for 2k more than the dealer offer.
I got a deal on the protection packages, so it made sense to me. As far as rust proofing, I wouldn't bother if your car will never see salt. I read the links above regarding rust proof. Whatever "protection" comes from the manufacturer isn't going to last long.
My experience for example...
The rust inhibitor is an option along with the other protection & appearance packages dealerships offer. This one comes with rust check spray. This car will be my DD, even in winter... so I'm doing my best to keep it in great shape for years. I also added block heater.
I imagine different...
My 2019 came in on Friday. Today I went in and drove it to fill it up with gas with the sales rep. They need it for a couple days for the interior protection and to install rust inhibitor. Pick it up Thurs, 9am, then straight over to a detail shop that'll put on the 3M clear wrap and ceramic...
Just got my EDD, July 1st. Seeing how that's a Sunday I'll assume the 2nd or so. Regardless, I'm pretty happy.
Looks like our's will be on the same train/truck 5.0johnny
2019 production started just last week, so it'll take time. The annual friends and family should be starting up first half of July (based on the past) and offers better discounts until end of Aug usually.
