Sorry it took so long but according to our phone DB app our J&M SS X-pipe with all stock exhaust at 3500 RPM, 2 feet away, 45 degrees came in at 86.7-87.2 DB.
How far away and what RPM? I can't tell you what the CJ is but we can go out an measure our X-Pipe if you give us more details on how you want it measured.
Usually the rear mount fails if the bump stops aren't put back on the replacement shock. What happens is the shock under full compression bottoms out internally, spikes the amount of force upward, and blows the rubber internals out through the top.
