Thanks, Norm. OK, there are valid reasons, and I knew that, but I was wondering what the OP's reason is. I don't think fender clearance would be an issue with the setup in question, many on the forum run 285/35-19 on 19x10 et35. On the contrary, in my own search, while looking at 19x10 in both...
Yes, a 1/4" spacer (~7mm) just moves the wheel a quarter inch away from the strut, no disagreement there. The problem is, a et45 wheel is 10mm closer to the strut than the et35 wheels we usually choose. Is 1/4" enough? Maybe, but the smart money is on just getting a 10mm spacer and knowing it...
If it's a et45 offset, a 10mm spacer will do the trick, 1/4" is 7mm and might be cutting it close. I notice AM has several different 19x10 GT500 wheels (different years) and the 2 i checked were both et48, which should use a 13mm spacer. Either way, longer studs and open ended lug nuts will be...
You'd be best off trying to find out the specs for your wheels first. Pull off a front and a rear and check for markings. At the very least you should be able to find size and offset. If they're a decent wheel and you line the look you you could probably just go with spacers. If they're heavy...
I had planned to go with the Firestone Indy 500 on my new wheels, but it looks like they, and many other tires have had a substantial price increase lately. I also took a look at the specs again and noticed that this is not the lightest tire so I decided to reevaluate the options.
It seems that...
LOL, no, I wasn't looking for "more" shine, just longer shine. Speed Shine is a quick detailing spray, it gives a nice gloss for a few days. I went and gave it a coat of real wax the next day because it needed wax after the winter weather.
The photo seems to have been problematic for a number of...
We tried that, it's not the same. My Ebony roof, even under substantial magnification, doesn't have the same "structure" (for lack of a better term) that the Magnetic paint has. The black roof is a solid black surface, as I'd always thought all paint would be, rather than looking like a...
Well, kinda. When the pandemic hit, the demand for fuel crashed. You can't just turn a refinery on and off so they kept refining and hoped covid wouldn't be a long term thing, until the storage tanks were full and they had to shut down. Gas has been at fire sale prices ever since.
Now that the...
Nope, Ebony doesn't have the same effect. The specks on the roof in this shot are just pollen, it's starting to come down now. BTW, these are just screen shots, even with cropping, etc. we could only get the 40+ MB files down to 11-14 MB, way too big to attach here. Still, zoom in and you'll get...
Now I'm gonna have him that a picture on my black roof with the same settings to see if it also looks like microscopic colored spheres suspended in clear. I should have him do the rear spoiler too, it's color matched to the black accent but now I want to see how much of a match it really is. To...
The Speed Shine yesterday helped, but I wanted more. I added a layer of Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax.
My son was playing with his new phone and took a close up at 108 MP. I didn't know paint looked like that zoomed in. If you click on this and then zoom in it looks like little spheres of color.
I did it, and yes, I ended up flipping a coin. It was tails, the quarter matched the vote count. I placed the order and instead of a confirmation screen, I got a server error screen. I took that as a sign, if the order went through, all is well, if it didn't go through the next attempt would be...
That's pretty much one side of the decision. OTOH, the SP2 and my BAP wheels are mostly on the same plane, flat with the outer edge of the barrel, and both have grooves that add to the cleaning process. The R350 is still seven spokes, but it is concave and has no grooves in the spokes so a...
One vote for the R355, plus my wife. As much as it has grown on me and would be the easiest to clean, not to mention the lightest, I think it's off the list.
The S350 has 3 votes. At one time it was my first choice but it's also off the list.
My son agrees with the majority of you on the SP2...
I can't help you on fit, but if you're looking at gloss black there's good news. I contacted LMR and asked why the sets in gloss black cost more than other colors, they said they'd fix that.
Edit: I can't say from first hand, but my understanding is that it's a direct fit all around.
