further, there is technically no such thing as a bigger maf anymore anyways....
used to be a bigger maf housing, when they were separate from the intake tube. now you just remove and replace the maf into whichever tube you use.
1% per 10 degrees is the rule
100 degrees is just the stock tune transition number from adding to subtracting, of which it is not doing a lot of on either side (90 or 110)
I also have faster cars than that but they don't have naturally aspirated 1965 327ci motors with 435 cfm carburetor spinning 9000 rpms....do yours?
And you're darn right my panties are bunched up. I'd prefer to be at the track 6 days a week!
there is only "so much" you will get out of race gas before spark is limited for reasons other than knock/detonation. it doesn't take a ton of race gas to eliminate preignition from the equation. after that, it comes down to MBT, which you will reach very early. hopefully whipple has found...
2 gallons isn't enough to properly tune a car so that would be just plain dumb, wouldn't it, country boy?
not to mention, he din't say nuthin bout no tune, he said dynoe day, now ain't that sumthin....? guess the security of the free world isn't in jeopardy after all.
watch out everyone...
this isn't necessary at all. it doesn't take a lot of race gas to get the benefits of a whole tank. if you are down to 1 or 2 gallons (which seems to be around 1/4 tank on this car) and you fill up with race gas, you will get no extra benefits from draining your tank.
I've never drained a...
not everyone's #1 priority is going to the drag strip to impress or report back to random dudes on the internet..... I have to take a day off to attend a street night at the track so I can get there early enough not to wait 3 hours between passes and a day off can mean a loss in 1000's of...
the TCs are known to pickup .4-.5 pretty easily so they seem similarly matched. plus you aren't accounting for the weight reduction off the hood the CJ requires to install....
I always recommend deleting cats with blowers, turbos, and nitrous. The extra heat can kill them easily, the restriction is more pronounced at higher power levels, and the only way to attempt to keep them cool is by dumping tons of fuel and killing power with Cat OverTemp protection.
The only...
which may not be such a bad thing on an otherwise stock engine....
i guarantee part throttle feel and daily driveability are far better on the GT350 manifold even if it gives up a little bit at 7800 RPMs to the CJ.
I'm really not sure why people are trying to compare the two directly for...
