  1. Price Disparity Among Headers

so 325rwhp. meanwhile the 15/16 puts down 375rwhp bone stock and with a centri, heads, cam, intake, and full exhaust will put down, what.....900rwhp?
  2. Cobra jet manifold vs Gt350 manifold

The Boss, CJ, and GT350 all surge unless properly tuned. The difference is the GT350 just came out and also has IMRC so there was a learning curve for the tuners, which I think most have it sorted now. I wouldn't let surging dissuade you.
  3. Catch Can Chapter 63

LS1 and LS6 were probably the worst ever for poor PCV systems, I had one too, it was horrible. If the piston is on the upstroke and the intake valve is open, which it is, the gasses are getting into the intake manifold. It's reversion. And it's no more (in)consequential than PCV gasses. In...
  4. Cobra jet manifold vs Gt350 manifold

Just food for thought, one of my coworkers has a 2012 GT500 that is bone stock except for I tuned it. Mine is a 16 GT Auto with JLT intake, GT350 TB/Manifold, and my E85 tune on 65% E at the moment. No headers or exhaust or anything else. Rolling on heavy 20" Foundrys. We just did two pulls...
  5. Price Disparity Among Headers

fox bodies made like what, 180-200rwhp? I mean, come on!! yeah, header design doesn't mean much at that level, I agree, lol.
  6. Price Disparity Among Headers

The problem isn't welded pipes being the same. You may not keep the car for a long time or have a need for better quality stainless steel, but there is a huge difference in materials. The other big factor is fitment. "Back in the Fox body days" doesn't mean much in 2016. It's not 1991...
  7. Does a tune dramatically change the S550 Coyote sound charateristic?

true, I should have said "new fuel" as there will be some fuel left of course.
  8. Catch Can Chapter 63

Think of it like this then. A catch can may slow the saturation rate of the intake manifold but it will still become fully saturated and then it won't matter anymore. If you are removing your intake manifold on a regular basis to clean it then a catch can will extend the intervals but it won't...
  9. Does a tune dramatically change the S550 Coyote sound charateristic?

Decel pop has nothing to do with fuel as the fuel is cut off during decel. Decel pop is dictated by how much spark lead is involved. DFCO typically has values around 3-5 degrees which pop, some people don't like it and tuners change it to 45-50 and it smooths out.
  10. Catch Can Chapter 63

Can you prove they don't create the environment whereby oil is more readily drawn out of the crankcase due to the introduced restriction in the system? Can you verify the amount of water vapor vs oil that is actually caught even though it's assumed that if its in the can it must be oil...
  11. Catch Can Chapter 63

It's a toss up. On a daily driver I just run the stock PCV unless you are FI and the stock PCV can't keep up then run breathers. A stock or bolt on daily driver would be best suited to the stock PCV, IMO. Running a catch can isn't going to hurt anything but it's also not going to do anything...
  12. Price Disparity Among Headers

ARH and Kooks are always my only two options but I have recently been using only Kooks because ARH may not be the most customer focused company....Kooks has never done me wrong.
  13. Tuning and headers questions.

run cats unless you are going to use nitrous or you are going to boost FI around a road course. don't know about the coyote issues like that but if you have a tune, Ford is going to give you hell about engine warranty work and probably just deny your claim altogether so if you are worried about...
  14. Thermostat question

they should run less with the thermostat installed.
  15. Cobra jet manifold vs Gt350 manifold

:D :first: you are awesome for typing a lot of stuff I didn't read. reread it for me and let me know if it sounds as good as when you typed it. PM me if it is and I will go back and read it.
  16. Shaker Hood

Because they were cool for two months in 2001.
  17. Lund Flex Fuel E85/JLT Before and After Dyno *Pic Heavy*

these cars are kind of different in that you can set a base timing value (over 27 mapped points, lol) and then control how much spark it will add in non-knocking conditions up to limiter tables, like MBT, preignition limits, combustions stability limits, etc and also how much spark it will...
  18. Lund Flex Fuel E85/JLT Before and After Dyno *Pic Heavy*

Any of you using HPT are free to PM me regarding Flex tunes, I have taken a very different approach to the Coyote setup due to the GT350 manifold and really feel it's better than stock.
