If you aren't spending a lot of time at high RPM then to me the low (air) speed tradeoffs aren't worth it (and I have a JLT CAI). I think the stock intake is fine for a headers only car. If you go with all the bolt ons or a supercharger then an intake is going to show more value.

correct. keep in mind, it's just a modifier, so it pulls 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 degrees depending on a load/rpm multiplier as well so it's not like you're losing 10 degrees or something. but a couple degrees can definitely have an effect.
