  1. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 2

Earl, Stangfnatic's car is headed to Des Moines IA. Do you have access to the info on it's rail route? My car will probably follow the same to get to West Branch. I was just wondering where it will be transferred to truck. Thanks, Mel
  2. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 2

    Thanks Earl!:like:
  3. How much are you paying for Insurance GT500?

Same as Bang, I have State Farm. I was getting concerned by some of the posts, so I got a quote from my agent. It came back as $603/yr for $250 ded., 250k/500k/100k liability limits for 7500 miles driven/yr. This is with multiple cars, house and umbrella coverage.
  4. 2020 GT500 Unscheduled/Material Hold or Clean Registry

"Earl, I noticed a certain car in California was updated today to Sent to Plant/In Production. Are congratulations in order for our #1 guy?" I gently "outed" him Thursday evening. I had a suspicion that he would not want a fuss made about it.

Go ahead & treat yourself to some dancing babies!
  6. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 2

Earl, I noticed a certain car in California was updated today to Sent to Plant/In Production. Are congratulations in order for our #1 guy?
  7. 2020 GT500 License Plate Bracket (GrimmSpeed)

And The Winner Is: Iowa may have screwed up the caucus, but at least they released a blackout personal license plate (totally black w/ white letters). GT500 was taken, but I scored GT500X. It won't look so bad if I HAVE TO put it on the front. (Chuck, GT500S, for supercharged was still...
  8. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 2

Talked to Noah this morning and #1585 has been moved from 3/23/20 to 3/02/20. :)
  9. Track Day Warranty

Yes, maybe: A little digging found this in the 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Warranty Terms and Conditions: "We do not recommend modifying or racing (for competition or time) Ford Performance vehicles, as they are designed and built to be driven as delivered from the factory. The warranty...
  10. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 2

Earl: Did you miss the 4th car on the list that went to the trim line?
  11. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 2

Just tried tracking & it won't let me in. :-(
  12. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 2

Earl: Can you determine that production did resume on 2/3? I was watching the 4 cars in this list that have recent updates and was thinking they would be built any day now. Marc's car (sent to plant) should show as built when?
  13. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 2

Is the tracking site down or did they add a layer of security? It keeps asking me for an ID and password.
  14. 2020 GT500 Unscheduled/Material Hold or Clean Registry

Earl is THE BEST! He just beat my dealer delivering a vin. Thanks a bunch!
  15. 2020 GT500 Unscheduled/Material Hold or Clean Registry

I finally caught a break. FP says I'm in the batch of 34 and my dealer will have a vin in his download tomorrow. Scheduled for week of 3/23. Not a MMC member anymore, but hopefully an AMC or a MayMC.
  16. Unexpected Rivals: 2020 GT500 vs. 2019 Subaru STI S209

It seems that Ford has not given the magazine companies any test mules, so they are writing puff pieces using borrowed cars. Car & Driver had that lame drag test and R&T produced this weird comparison. The real head to head fight that they seem to be avoiding is the GT500/C8 match.
  17. 2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 1

Excellent idea! I was keeping that very list on a note pad beside my computer to watch the progress on that group of cars. It beats reading goat entrails trying figure out what's going. ;-)
  18. 2020 GT500 Unscheduled/Material Hold or Clean Registry

Americans are pretty good at standing in line waiting for something IF they consider it to be a fair, take your turn situation. Ford does not realize this or just does not care that they are pissing off nearly 5000 loyal customers by not revealing at least some excuse as to how the process...
  19. Your Favorite Portable Lift

Several friends of mine have Kwik-lifts. They are great if you need to do work on the car with the suspension loaded. Not so good for wheel swaps and such. Biggest pain is daily parking on them, since they are heavy and not something you move around.
  20. 2020 GT500 Unscheduled/Material Hold or Clean Registry

Hi Chuck, looks like we're the only Iowa guys on the site waiting for vins. The car that arrived at Grainger Ford went right back to MI. That was a long ride for nothing. I think my color selection may have jinxed me, not many kona blue cars have been built.
