My car (built 3/5) arrived at the dealer this morning. I checked the hose and it is out of place. They are fixing it during dealer prep.
I did not mention the exhaust wiring, since I think not all cars have the problem and to see it you have to drop the rear belly pan.
All it needs is a couple...
Confession Time: Forgive me Father Snoopy for I have sinned. I have failed to share with my
Mustang brethren. On 5/20 my dealer and his regional rep set up the release of my car (1585)
from the Flat Rock storage yard to a private hauler. As I post this, they are rolling out of Detroit,
headed...
Not a good sign, 2 of the Ford plants that opened this week are closed down temporarily according to ABC news.
Maybe they will have everything under control by next week.
Why start production on a Tuesday? You probably have a reliable source, but the 26th sounds like somebody pulled a date out of the air.
The media says the auto manufactures, the small parts suppliers and now even Gov. Whitmer is onboard to restart. The UAW may soon
face the back to work or take...
From CBS News:
The state of emergency gives Whitmer the authority to issue executive orders related to coronavirus, such as a stay-at-home order which is in effect until May 15. On Thursday night, Whitmer also signed an executive order keeping bars, gyms, casinos and theaters closed and only...
As reported on another thread, this extension only covers social places like bars and gyms. The actual order can be found on the State of Michigan
website. I don't know about Michigan, but the State of Iowa has told workers, receiving unemployment benefits, that If they don't report for work as...
Hang on to that hopeful thought, but put only slightly more than zero trust in any timeline given to you. With your vin# you can log into Ford's tracking site. Once my car was released (3/22) it gave me 13 days to dealer delivery on 4/12/20 (Easter Sunday). It counted down to 1 day, stayed
at 1...
I'm going to add some old fart wisdom to this issue. WD40 is only a temporary fix because the lubricant part tends to carbon up from the high temps. I had a carb throttle shaft on a Ford 352-2bbl that would get sticky and lubing it with WD40 worked for a week or so, then it would get gummy...
Snoopy, I expanded your photo on my computer screen to where I can just see individual cars. I don't see any dark cars w/ white stripes or light cars w/ dark stripes. I thought I would see a few 350s or 500s sprinkled in the bunch. Do you have better resolution on the original image?
So who actually loads the cars onto railcars/transports, Ford employees or shipping co. employees? My dealers regional rep said on 4/16:
Good Morning,
Yes I received an update last night from the logistics team. UPS again confirmed that the unit is marked hot and is on the next transport out...
When is a stay at home not a stay at home order? They opened up some IL. state parks, how do you go there and stay home. There are several other modification that make this extension more of a plan to slowly open things up. This is not as severe as it sounds.
Her legislature seems unwilling to support a shutdown past May 1st. Reuter's Business News reported that a restart was pending and agreement between Ford and the UAW on personal safety measures.
Her Republican legislature has stated it will not support shutdown past May 1st. especially with the President pushing to open business up.
I seems to mainly come down to Ford providing personal safety measures to satisfy the UAW
(posted on Reuter's news a couple of days ago)
Probably not a correct number. My #1585 seems to be in the last 25 or so cars built before shutdown and by my count #20xx is the highest vin delivered. There are not 1500 cars sitting at the plant. There may be 3500 vins assigned. Ditto Snoopy.
