I see you don't have stripes, so unless the handling package diverts you through the dreaded Mod Shop, you have a good chance of getting released in about a week or less once production resumes. Do you recall what color cars you thought might be 500s? I'm waiting on a Kona Blue w/ white stripes...
Earl, I have been confused by your statement that there are only 3 cars in that status. I had assumed you were talking only about forum member cars. Do you mean forum member cars, all GT500 or all Mustangs in production. I assumed that when they shut production down, there were dozens of cars...
Maybe there is a little activity in the shipping lot at FRAP. I received this email from my dealer regarding the "released-awaiting shipment" status of my car:
Mel,
This is the latest e-mail that I have received from my Ford rep. (regional)
Good Morning,
Yes I received an update last night...
The intercooler is between the blower rotors and the intake valves. How could a broken piece get to the rotor?
I'm thinking that nick was always there.
I am surprised to see that I am 1 of only 2 cars in the Released-Awaiting Shipment category.
Do you have a rough estimate of what proportion forum members are of the total production?
I was wondering how many cars are just sitting in the shipping lot at FRAP.
2" hail smashed out car windows 25...
That giant boogie man that no one has ever mentioned in this forum is a carbon emission regulation that will ban high horsepower gas only autos. In the past, CAFE allowed companies to build a certain percentage of gas guzzlers. If "The Donald" is voted out this fall, I expect a lot of climate...
Hope is all that's left of this screwed up process. We ordered one day from each other, your vin is about half of mine (1585), my car went through the plant one day ahead (on each step) and made it to Released/Awaiting Shipment (3/24). When they slammed the door on the last day, we were both on...
For any of you guys with completed cars, awaiting shipment, there's not much good news. I checked with
Ford Perf. by email & this was Tony's reply:
I did check myself and the car is released (as of March 22nd). Being still at the plant without an assignment, I do not know if this vehicle is...
A week ago, the Ford tracking site had me listed as an ETA of 22 days to delivery. Each day, including today, it has counted down to 15 days.
Looks like everybody walked out and left the lights...., I mean the computers running.
Looking at the list, there were a bunch of cars produced during the first 2 weeks of March that are
just sitting somewhere. Backed up waiting for vinyl stripes?? It seems like not many cars
were released for a week or so.
My first thought was that if it was Ford's error, they would have to eat the cost. Then it occurred to me that it might
be some other color that what I ordered. When I saw black stripe listed, I got concerned. No disrespect to SPR1957
but that color combo I could not live with.
Earl, I think there has been a mix-up. I don't have painted on stripes. Noah says it's still holding at produced.
Maybe mixed with SPR1957 who is Kona Blue w/ black painted stripe?
P.72 of the 2020 Mustang Owners Manual in reference to the Autowiper feature says,"The feature uses a rain sensor that is in the area around the interior mirror."
However, I could not find anything that specifically said Autowipers were part of the GT500 tech package.
A month ago, I ran into a transport driver there, but he was unloading Explorers delivered directly from the Chicago Plant.
That's his route & the only thing he hauls. I'm not sure the dealer is familiar with the VVR. To him it seems like everything
gets there by transport and with the BNSF...
