I know it's a lot to ask, but would someone who has received their car, pull a wheel and check the offset of the factory wheels?
I have not seen that info anywhere and it should be cast into the back of the base wheel. Not sure about the CF wheel.
Looking to fit a pair of drag radials as wide as...
My dealer had a bunch of good stuff for me. The brochure shown, a hard cover book on the history of the GT500 (32page), a 4x6" aluminum
paper weight model of the GT500 blower, a GT350/500 coffee cup and a Ford Performance flash drive with videos. I think they feel guilty
for making me a member...
Is it possible that only the black car is headed to Penske and the other two are being delivered (not getting any stripes)?
They have the right wings and wheels for a base(white) and a cftp(red) car.
It took me a while to figure out the 5.0 and 5.2 difference was due to no cyl. liners. Since the GT500 is a 5.2 it likely uses the plasma coated process.
IMHO the initial GT350 oil consumption problem may have been a mfg problem, but I think a lot of it was break-in related. The old adage to...
I might as well add to your paranoia. In the late 60's, 8-10 railcars loaded with Chevy Impalas & Caprices derailed in sw Iowa. Most were hanging on their side by the chains, with their suspensions compressed & tires near flat on the down side. A few had broken loose and had crushed roofs and...
I got an email from my dealer this afternoon:
Hi Mel,
No movement on your new GT500 yet. Ford has shut down production until next year.
I don't know if he means this literally or just in reference to my order.
What a bunch of whiners! When I first heard of the GT500, I went to my dealer and got my name at the top of the list.
That was Dec. of 2017 - I've waited 22 months and have half a dozen more to go, plus my order went in on 7/2/19.
I know, if you listen carefully, you can hear the tiny...
I haggle with the best, but there's no wiggle room when another dealer offers your dealer $5k for his only allocation.
I'm lucky that he just passed it on to me without markup.
My order is still unscheduled. Noah verified that current unscheduled orders would not be built until after March.
I asked when spring production would start to be scheduled, but that's TBD at this time.
I guess I won't be hearing Noah's friendly voice for a few months. Now there's a downer...
I think it's probably a good thing to be an MMC member. That will give Ford some more time to work the bugs out.
I'm thinking about the oil consumption in the early production GT350's (maybe that's a myth).
That's going to be my mantra: "No bugs by March"
