Hawkbox,
The bolts worked great! I found a way to adjust camber without the wheel on. Alignment probably isnt perfect but is pretty damn good. It will be getting a professional alignment soon once i get my new wheels and Im happy with the stance. Id recommend these to anyone who doesnt want...
I test fit the 275 up front. In order to get the cap back on you would need at least 0.25" or a 7mm spacer. I wouldn't go any smaller than that. Probably better to go 8-9mm
Also if you are planning to set camber to 0 you could have issues with rubbing on a lowered car. Not sure how low would...
I hear the squeeking comment often and wonder if some adjusted the ride height wrong (eg by compressing the spring). BC instructions are not the best. Guess i will find out soon enough.
About to install these bolts this weekend. Can anyone tell me if you need to knock out the lower bolt past the splined section to adjust camber? I cant see how an alignment shop could do that with the wheels on, but seems like you wouldnt get any camber adjustment otherwise?
I tried jacking the car up on 4 ramps but there wasn't enough clearance to work, and with no clearance it was too hard to get to the bolts. I'm going to ask the alignment shop to do it.
Hawkbox,
Ive got some bmr camber bolts to install this weekend. Im hoping that will eliminate the need for shock tower cutting. For 30 bucks it was worth a try.
From a past experience with my 11' mustang a tune alone can result in failed emissions even with no CEL's. The tune messes with readiness monitors. When I failed before, it was a readiness issue. I called the tuning company and they swore up and down there was no reason it should have failed...
Scott, How did you adjust the camber? I have BC's and don't want to have to cut the shock tower or do the trial and error method (e.g., take it off and put it back on until its right)
Everyone with Tuner Supercharger Kits....
Did you pass emissions testing (OBDII only not visual) without some nefarious acts (e.g. so it passed at a ford dealership and not some back alley shop or you paid someone off)? I like some tuner kits (whipple and vmp) but can't take the risk of...
Im struggling to see how the stock mount is softer. Looks like the stock piece has no bushings at all. Wouldnt that make it stiffer? Anyone try this and notice a difference?
