I dont feel like providing links but check out some of the recent post i made. There is some good info in regards to dealing with BC, funtionality, and install. You might be better off with ICS but i have no experience with them. Roush single adjustable might be good too but you may need caster...
I think cutting would be easiest but I am worried about the hole saw jumping around and not being able to switch the BC's out if I end up not liking them. Was looking at the stock shock plate and it has a cut out that fits into the tower. So cutting may not effect anything, but not sure.
Right now I see these options
1. Cut strut tower with 3" hole saw.
2. Drill holes in strut tower above allen bolts then find something to plug holes with.
3. Haven't tried this yet, but this is what I am thinking.....Use a flex head 1/4" ratcheting wrench. Insert 5mm allen bit into top of...
I nees to adjust camber up front. I have an idea on how to losen allen bolts without cutting the strut tower but was courious what others are doing since its not an elegant solution.
I read this comment alot and often wonder who its coming from. Is it a person who autocrosses all the time or just someone using it for street use. I would imagine thats makes a big difference in customer satisfaction.
I just put BC coilovers on my car but wont be testing them out until spring...
I was trying not to step on anybodys shoes or give false info. So was hoping Kelly would jump in, but when i asked bmr about this a month ago they said what i said in my last post. No performance gain and not being developed. However, I really think Kelly should be answering this.
Camber is how much the wheel tilts inboard or outboard (do a google image search). If you don't drop much more than 1" an alignment shop should be able to get you back to factory spec. If you want to go lower than that, get some caster camber plates for the front. There is plenty of...
Ok, so went with the alignment responses and pulled the rear wheels off and put a level on the rotors. I had negative camber on one wheel and positive on the other. Probably had something to do with it ;). So utilizing the adjustable toe rods and a level I think I got the camber to zero. Took it...
So I installed the following:
BC Coilovers, DSS Half Shafts, BMR Cradle Poly Busing, BMR Poly Dif Bushing, BMR vertical links TCA045, BMR toe rods, Ford Racing Knuckle Bearing, and Steeda Rear LCA Bearing.
Took the car on a short slow speed ride and wow. The car if F'd. I wouldn't want to...
Excllent!
This is probably posted somewhere, but what pulley size would max out the 72lb injectors with no boost a pump, and what is the stock pulley size, and do you need a new belt everytime you swap pulleys?
THANKS!!
So does anyone know what parts you can get with the CARB legal kit? Id ike the 72lb injectors, bigger throttle body, and open air box. Would that pass? Not from CA but need to pass emissions every year.
Also how hard is it to swap from stock tune to custom and back without touching anything else?
I'm probably getting the whipple in the future for these reasons:
Most powerful kit with EO# and if you cant pass emissions you cant drive the car on the streets.
Best cooling
PD blowers make instant boost compared to centri's which lose boost anytime you let off the gas pedal.
No cutting...
Called DSS and left a message. They never called back. Called again several days later. They said they are not aware of this issue and also told me there was no torque spec for the spindle nut which I found to be untrue later. I never checked the bolts since I wasn't told to. Also shafts came...
