Just to be clear, this is not true. A bigger turbo will have much lower IATs than a small turbo that is pushed hard. Perfect example is the new ZR1. Massive turbos allowed GM to make 1064 HP on 93 octane fuel since the charge temperature is so low.
Buy a drum and have it shipped to your house. Run 93 for routine driving and run E85 when you need the power and cooling. Just a suggestion. Itâll really depend where youâre trying to get to power wise.
Depends what the OPâs power goal is. If he wants more power, that means more airflow and a turbo matched to the increase airflow and pressure ratio makes much more sense than pushing the OEM turbo to a spot on its compressor map where itâs not effective. E85 is a godsend for any boosted engine...

E85 really doesnât give a crap what your IAT2 is (within reason, of course). 110, 120, 130 degrees, etc is a non factor since E will cool the combustion charge and even if it didnât, the octane number is so good youâre not going to knock. Youâll still make great power even on âhighâ IAT2...
100%! My son is in his early 20âs and weâve let him drive the Mustang and my AMG a couple of times (both around 500 HP) and he loves them. But I know heâs not ready for my 1200+ HP Camaro. At some point that will happen though and Iâll be turning down the boost controller without telling him. đ
