  1. How common are bent endlinks?

    Edmunds found their long-term tester had bent end links with the stock PP bar. https://www.edmunds.com/ford/mustang/2015/long-term-road-test/2015-ford-mustang-gt-path-to-performance-potential-requires-new-suspension.html
  2. JRZ coilover

    I have the RS Pros on my Ecoboost. These are my first set of coilovers and I track my car from time to time. Marketing Every click is indeed noticeable The damper is monotube so the piston shaft is very girthy. Supposidly this helps with quick shock reation and dealing with small amplitude...
  3. BUNNY HOP AT 140 mph+++

    You're right. The OP didn't mention the car going up and down with too many unneeded undulations, that would show signs of an underdamped system. Having first-hand experience with the koni shocks on this car and driving on quite possibly the same roads, I can only assume OP experienced the...
  4. BUNNY HOP AT 140 mph+++

    IMO koni's compression is way too stiff for street driving let alone going over small bumps while street racing. They are only rebound adjustable. I'd swap the shocks for something more compliant. If you're unwilling to do that, try the bump stops and/or raise ride height. I live in the bay...
  5. Die hard Manual guys get in here!

    Actually most of those companies do: in a dual clutch automated manual. Lets take the cars that you'd want on the road course: Ferrari Lambo McLaren Koenigsegg Now how many of these companies will sell you a car with a torque converter?
  6. My collision..

    Sorry to hear this story. Does anybody else find it fishy how the guy in a shitty old camry was able to strike you at 65mph head on with enough force to lift up your mustang and then proceed to go to the ATM? If all this is true, that is damn impressive for the camry's level of safety, more so...
  7. HRE Wheels | GT350 with HRE R101 AND Classic 305 Installed

    Looks like the front is more concave than the rear on the 305 classics.
  8. Boy, those factory Ecoboost motors are sure hot. . .

    When I was car shopping for my EB, I heard another salesman tell another shopper the the EB mustang was twin turbo :doh:
  9. GT350R Springs for GT (high rate, minimum lowering)

    Thanks for the quick feedback guys. Plugging in the numbers from my last corner balancing into my handy-dandy weight transfer spreadsheet (thanks BmacIL), it seems that a 225lb/in spring paired with the SP085 will result in nearly identical wheel rates front/rear (221/226) with front ride freq...
  10. GT350R Springs for GT (high rate, minimum lowering)

    BmacIL I think you're convincing me to go balls to the wall and get the SP085 on my daily driver. I'm pretty confident I'll be able to dial in the damping on my JRZ's and keep the ride liveable. I'll just have to dial back my Eibach swaybars to the soft setting. I am getting too much rocking...
  11. Tracking the EcoBoost

    I agree you've probably had the most modified for road course and most tracked EB. Can you give the spark notes of why the EB is not a good option for the road course? I'm not trying to spur on an argument, but I'd like to hear from somebody who's been there, done that.
  12. The center strut bolts have officially kicked my ass....

    I did the same as well. Pretty ghetto but no special tools required!
  13. Tracking the EcoBoost

    I should clarify my position that I'm not implying the GT understeers. Basic physics suggests the EB would push less due to less weight on the front axle and better balance. I stated "I HATE nose-heavy understeery cars and I wanted a beginner project car... to wrench on" because my previous...
  14. Tracking the EcoBoost

    I've taken my EB to the track once! I was in your same shoes. I HATE nose-heavy understeery cars and I wanted a beginner project car to do HPDEs and to wrench on. I would definitely get the PP. And +1 vote for going to a BMW CCA event. I went to a car control clinic hosted by BMW CCA and it...
  15. Ridetech coilover with aftermarket swaybar issue

    I had a very similar problem as the OP with my JRZ RS Pro coilovers. The endlink was rubbing against the bottom of the shock. I have the BMR adjustable endlinks so I flipped one side so the bolts both face the same way. I put the endlink on the inside of the swaybar. I compressed the...
  16. JRZ vs Ridetech coilovers???

    I got my JRZ RS Pro's! Going to use my old BC racing rear springs (784 lb/in) along with 250 lb/in springs in the front. Finding a shop that can de-pressurize and re-pressurize the external canisters is a little harder than expected! I can't wait to get these guys installed.
  17. What sway bars did you choose?

    I've got eibach sways. No complaints.
  18. Lopsided Ride Height After Lowering

    I got the stance reasonably dialed for an extra $340 ($60 for the spring pads + hole saw, $280 for the BC racing stuff) on top of what I paid for the springs. Oh well, on to bigger and better things... Ordering my JRZ RS Pro's this month. FWIW my BMR CB005 and end links have held up &...
  19. Lopsided Ride Height After Lowering

    My results were very similar to yours. I bought an ecoboost specific spring kit from a well known manufacturer on this forum. The stance was awful (see picture). I did the BMW e46 spring spacer mod for the rear, in 12mm. That helped some but I wasn't too happy with the spring rates anyways so I...
