  1. Tracking the EcoBoost

I really enjoy tracking my EB. But it is my first car i've ever tracked so I have no basis of comparison. I feel like it is a great platform for those that are getting started and want to learn how to drive. I imagine it could be rewarding for a very seasoned driver as well. I've been able to...
  2. PP Rims for 2015 ecoboost

I have EBM PP wheels with MPSS on two and P Zeros on the other two. Tires are at about 75% life. Wheels are in decent shape.. about 8/10 quality. Some have minor scratching from using an old wheel brush and one wheel has a bit of rash. I'm located in the Bay Area. PM me if interested.
  3. Ohlins' Adjustable Coil-Over Kits Are In Stock At J&M / hotpart.com

I agree! After reading one of your posts on another thread, I softened my rear swaybar and swapped the BC rear springs for the BMR Handling. I got much better results/handling characteristics in HPDE
  4. Ohlins' Adjustable Coil-Over Kits Are In Stock At J&M / hotpart.com

I thought it was odd too. Knowing that fact I didn't install them and I tested out BC racing rear (78X), Steeda Ultralite rear (88X) and BMR handling rear (98X). Maybe these big guys like Ohlins and JRZ know something we don't :) But yes, after testing with the BC racing, the softer rear...
  5. Ohlins' Adjustable Coil-Over Kits Are In Stock At J&M / hotpart.com

As far as I know, JRZ has never made a coilover with the spring at the shock location for this platform. Mine came with the spring to me mounted in the stock location and I was told by the retailer that it was a 672 lb/in spring. EDIT: Just looked through old PMs and the retailer told me the...
  6. Ohlins' Adjustable Coil-Over Kits Are In Stock At J&M / hotpart.com

My JRZ's came with a very similar low rear spring rate also (non-true coilover). I never tried them out but I think they were around 650 lb/in.
  7. Thunder hill east lap times??

I have no plans on going to Thunderhill again this year. I've moved about 1500 miles away :)
  8. Thunder hill east lap times??

The coils were some sort of test-fit kit from a shop, but they were just over $4k all in. I think they are $4700 normally.
  9. Thunder hill east lap times??

I know others have had success with the Steeda shock package. I believe the Steeda shocks are made by Koni, but are valved differently. Other than that I can't really comment on the impressions. From a hardware perspective: I think the Steeda stuff is twin tube and rebound adjustable only...
  10. Thunder hill east lap times??

I had tried out a few spring combinations with koni shocks and the ride was too rough. I didn't want to mess around with buying other cheap shocks so I just got the best shocks I could afford. The JRZ Pros gave me the adjustability that I needed for practically any spring rates I put on the car...
  11. Thunder hill east lap times??

I've been there for two track days but I never recorded my times :)
  12. Steeda's New S550 Mustang Front Control Arms (Lateral and Tension Link)

It would be interesting to see a close up on how the ball joints differ from stock. Does anybody have any before and after pics of these installed?
  13. Steeda's New S550 Mustang Front Control Arms (Lateral and Tension Link)

The consensus among enthusiasts and race experts is that 1" lowering is OK. In most cases the pros out with the cons. A lot of what I mentioned is more theory than anything else. Other members on the forum state the front is more tolerant to lowering compared to the rear.
  14. Steeda's New S550 Mustang Front Control Arms (Lateral and Tension Link)

From my knowledge & research: Lowering springs by their nature impart increased body roll and reduced steering response because lowering the car does mess with the suspension geometry. For instance, if you lower the car 1", the center of gravity (CG) will lower 1". But because you've changed...
  15. Cost of doing a GT350 Conversion Front Bumper/Spliter on a 2017 GT Premium ? ? ? ?

I've been thinking of doing this swap, but with SpeedKore's extremely light carbon fiber panels. I started to create scripts to scan the ford parts website, and would create a diff between a GT and GT350 sub parts. I didn't finish that goal, but I have scripts that can screen scrape the...
  16. My Complete Suspension Comparisons to date, Springs, shocks, Coilovers ETC. READ

Amen. I had Konis and hated them after swapping springs 2-3 times with those shocks. I jumped straight to the JRZ RS Pro's and never looked back. Do I know how to maximize their potential on track? No. But at least I don't have to feel my vertebrae rubbing together on the way to and from work...
  17. JRZ coilover

There is some black plastic box under the spare tire area on the underside of the car. I drilled some holes into the side of the box, and mounted some 1" aluminum angle. I zip ties the reservoirs to the aluminum angle. Kind of messy, but I can slide under the car and adjust compression...
  18. it appears my a/c isn't working

I know a lot of people here had issues with the evaporator core. My AC started blowing hot so I took it to a dealership where my buddy is a tech. Turns out one of the refrigerant hoses had cracked and leaked all the refrigerant out of the system. The hose was replaced the system was recharged...
  19. coilover recommendations...

I got mine from Trinity Autosport on this forum.
