  1. Automatic Transmission Oil Temp

Yes, figured you were somewhere tropical. Your photo looks like it was taken in a rain forest!! I'm not tuned, all stock on the engine/trans. Just chassis, suspension, and cooling upgrades. I'm no engineer, but relatively short bursts up to a high temp probably won't hurt the trans. Maybe...
  2. Tuner Lug Nuts

Hi All, I’ve a concern about the tuner lug nuts that must be used on aftermarket wheels. The lug nuts that came with my wheels are the fluted type and are Kosei branded. Can these handle many on/off cycles without the fluting getting chewed up? I’m using these new wheels for track duty...
  3. Automatic Transmission Oil Temp

I haven’t noticed any odd shifting behavior on the street. I’ve 10 track days on the car, 4 twenty minute sessions each, though I did not record actual miles. Are you in Southeast Asia? I assume the ambient temperature there is quite hot if you’re seeing 248F that quick in the session. Mine...
  4. Official PK Auto Design Wheel Thread | Weights | New Releases | Questions & Answers

Just received my new 19X10 M600's with 285/35r19 RE71r's. Can't wait to get these on the track!! Great experience working with Paul@PK Auto Designs. Super helpful, good pricing, and the wheels came boxed up VERY nicely - no damage in shipping from Cal to Massachusetts. One question - this is...
  5. Track Day Preparation/2018 Mustang

+1 on the gallon of water. Stay hydrated; you’ll sweat more than you think!
  6. Official MRR M600 Flow forged Wheel Pre Order Thread | Grab A set before their Gone !

Ordered mine a few days ago with some RE71Rs. Can’t wait to hit the track this spring! Great experience talking to Paul!!
  7. 6R80 Exedy clutch pack and billet intermediate shaft install

I was the automatic transmission guy when I turned a wrench for a living years ago. If you’ve never been inside an auto trans before, I’d suggest you have someone with experience take care of it. If you want to go ahead and train yourself on your own transmission then keep everything godly...
  8. 6r80 on the track

Matt Farrah hates anything that is not a fully prepped race car.
  9. 6r80 on the track

Shift with the paddles and you will be fine. And get an aftermarket cooler. I’ve run 10+ track days with my 6A and had a blast.
  10. Automatic Transmission Oil Temp

That’s fine for a/t temp. Mine runs between 190 and 207 on the street. Road course much hotter.
  11. Fast 6R80 Guys, What Fluid?

Yeah, hitting limp mode at 250f at the end of sessions late in the day. I’ll be installing a Mishimoto trans cooler this winter.
  12. Fast 6R80 Guys, What Fluid?

What temps are you reaching on the road course?

  14. Exhaust note change at idle

^^^^^^^ This. Watch your air/fuel ratio gauge. The sound change will correspond to this. The ECU will swing the mixture. Mine does this too.
  15. Back Pain After HPDE? Base seats the issue?

Ah, very good point. Now that you mention it, I do notice the compression on the shoulders with my stock seats. I can see how that might cause some folks a problem. For me, it doesn't cause any pain.
  16. Back Pain After HPDE? Base seats the issue?

I have these. Worth every penny spent on them. Highly recommended.
  17. 10 speed auto

Hopefully, Ford got the logic right on the 10 speed. On the 6r80, it sux on the track. One has to use the paddles. It's never in the right gear on a corner exit. On the street, you shouldn't be going fast enough to make a difference. You'd be a wiener if you were.
  18. Auto Trans Getting Hot 250F

Yep, going to change the fluid this week as I have another track day on Friday. Anybody else running an auto trans in track day? Have you hit 250F?
  19. Auto Trans Getting Hot 250F

So, I was running at Palmer yesterday with an ambient of about 80-85. The second session out and a few laps in, my car started to cut power, very drastically, where it was totally dead above approximately 3k rpm. Limp mode. CHT was good, about 235, oil temp was about 220. I have a Mishi...
