Thanks. I do know what the sound limits are at the tracks that I attend - that's not what the ask is.
I'm looking for folks that have indeed been black flagged for sound, and what exhaust they are running and at what track.
Basically, I'm looking to avoid the black flag. And since it is...
Thanks EFI.
Yeah, COM has some loud cars for sure. I'm looking for a "fuzzy" reference point where a person got flagged. Anecdotal, really.
Measuring sound at a racetrack, I think, is a pretty inexact science where temp, humidity, leaves on trees, etc can affect readings. Plus, who knows if...
Wasn't sure whether to post this here, or in the road course sub forum!
A lot of folks in this forum run different exhaust setups; some folks go to track days. Many (most it seems) tracks enforce a sound limit at 50 feet, and the town or the track will place a sound meter at undisclosed...
I've never owned a bimmer, but I've owned a beemer motorcycle for 20 years. Anyway, these newer Fords for me , have been rock solid for reliability. My 16 Mustang has not been in for warranty work yet. I have 20 k on it and it has been just fine.
ATF cooler is sandwiched between he radiator and the condenser. Two bolts on one side, and it slides into mounting ears on the other. I know this becaus I've installed a Mishi radiator and oil cooler.
I'm always amazed at the practical side of this gen Mustang. You can actually carry stuff in these cars as the trunk is pretty big. I can fit a 6 foot step ladder in the back with the seat folded down.
And for track days, everything fits in the trunk with room to spare. Not sure if that is a...
I think what you're feeling is the stock shocks. Stock GTs are pretty soft. The Steeda shocks and struts will firm it up. Don't just do the rears, do all four corners so the car will be balanced. Otherwise you will have a mismatch in dampening front to rear.
I see that you have a non PP GT. My car is the same, and the Steedas I've installed really tightens things up and keep it comfy for DD duties.
Also get the Steeda shock mounts, and the BMR CB 005 cradle lockout kit. You won't be disappointed!! There is plenty of info on this forum about these...
I've not tried the Konis, but for my goal of a DD that I can track 7 or 8 times a year, the Steeda fixed dampers work great. Huge improvements over the stock dampers.
What are your goals with your Stang?
