  1. Diff overheating on track

Track is a relatively fast track, avg speeds b/w 45-145. Predominantly 3-5 gears. I'm a faster driver, so tend to be harder on cars. Did not check the rear diff fluid initially, but will do that shortly. l I have not reached out to Ford Performance yet. Good idea, actually, so I'll do that...
  2. Diff overheating on track

Yeah, I believe the answer is "yes". Several GT350 guys run the heavier weight oil (which is also the same when cold of 75W)
  3. Diff overheating on track

I haven't checked it yet as the car is only a month old. Planning on checking it now It was about 77-80 degrees or so outside. Not crazy hot or anything.
  4. Diff overheating on track

No leaks as far as I can tell. Pump does seem to be working as when my son is on track it's able to maintain temps. I'm a bit faster than he is, and it doesn't seem to be able to keep up. We just got back last night, so I haven't had the opportunity to explicitly test the pump, but given...
  5. Diff overheating on track

We took the Mach 1 out to the track this weekend (Summit Point Main) and I ran into the dreaded diff overheating error after about 15 minutes at speed. I was hoping this would be avoided given it has the diff cooler from the GT350/500 in it, but it doesn't seem to be the case. I'll be swapping...
  6. GT350R springs on the Mach?

I run a DSC v3 controller on my car - you can tune the suspension to your liking to adjust for stiffer springs. I haven’t messed with it much on the Mustang yet, but I also use it on my other car extensively tuning it. It works well.
  7. Part number help - wiring harness clip on 2021 5.0

Hi All, I need some help to locate a part number that I can't seem to find. I was installing a new Ford Performance Air-to-oil separator on my 2021 Mach 1 over the weekend. The install requires you to remove a plastic wire harness holder off of a stud on the front cover of the engine to...
  8. 2021 REAR SEAT BELTS HAVE A 2 WIRE CONNECTOR!!°

Yeah, so I think it's related to having "stock like" seats installed. I too tried the dummy buckle plugged in and it doesn't seem to matter if it's there or not - as long as the rear buckles are installed. Mine are also installed below the rear seat delete (sans clasps) and zip-tied in place...
  9. 2021 REAR SEAT BELTS HAVE A 2 WIRE CONNECTOR!!°

Did you reinstall the factory seats, or aftermarket seats? I've been working on my car and I reinstalled the factory seats as a troubleshooting step and the error went away (with the rear buckles installed). Unplugging the front seats again (simulating race seats), and the error comes back...
  10. Mach 1 as a track car - anyone else?

    pm’d you
  11. Mach 1 as a track car - anyone else?

Great feedback! I’m looking forward to getting it on track. Graying to find rear tires is a problem right now though. I can’t find them in 315/30 psc2 anywhere. which air/oil separator did you get?
  12. Mach 1 as a track car - anyone else?

GT4 might be a better track car, and it was on the list, but it’s still over 100k and Porsche currently has a stop-sale on them. While the M1 is a good car, I have no delusions about it being a great car - at least relative to my P-cars. The M1 is a car that if it gets damaged beyond repair...
  13. 2021 REAR SEAT BELTS HAVE A 2 WIRE CONNECTOR!!°

Thanks for the info. As I am on the right coast, seems I might need a trip to the dealer to clear the error. Will have to wait until my new seats arrive to drive it around and try that trick as the car is not drivable at the moment.
  14. 2021 REAR SEAT BELTS HAVE A 2 WIRE CONNECTOR!!°

did you have to go to the dealer to get the light cleared? I reinstalled the rear buckles and even put the buckles into the receiver, but the malfunction warning still comes on. The car recognizes when the buckles are removed and reinserted, but it won’t seem to clear that error. I was...
  15. 2021 REAR SEAT BELTS HAVE A 2 WIRE CONNECTOR!!°

Did you get this sorted out? Just did the delete on my car as well for a roll bar install and now have the light.
  16. Mach 1 as a track car - anyone else?

Ultimately it came down to the fact my GT3RS is a weapon on track - razor sharp handling and throttle response, and really easy to get in over your head quickly if you don’t know what you’re doing. It’s also an incredibly expensive car to replace as well as track insurance ($2k/event)...
  17. Mach 1 as a track car - anyone else?

Thanks for the advice. I’ll look into those. Luckily no need to rename the thread as the intent was to find other owners who were planning to track it. Thankfully for my wallet, there is more to a build than just parts shopping. Setup matters.
  18. Mach 1 as a track car - anyone else?

Well, I'm looking at making it a "track car", not a "race car". I already have one of those that seems to stay broken ('06 STI) If I could get it to be reliable, while handing 3-4 hours of track time per day split between myself and my son, that would be awesome.
  19. Mach 1 as a track car - anyone else?

Hi All - just picked up my Mach 1 to build as a track car for my son and I to use. It’s augmenting (and potentially replacing) my 2016 GT3RS, which I’m concerned is a bit too much car for him to learn on, and with damage costs being too high if he makes a mistake. It seems like most people...
