I swapped the GT350 wheel on mine. It was simple, though i just had to swap the controls over and you lose steering wheel heat.
The factory GT wheel felt squishy - like it was filled with gel almost. The GT350 wheel is much better and still fits the car. The grey stitching matches the...
Good to hear. I spoke to the guys as Ford Performance and they said the same thing - seemed like something was broken. Car is going in as soon as I can get an appointment with the dealer.
Yes. I have a lift in my garage.
Traced all of the harnesses and there wasn't anything to note for loose or lack of connections. Everything was tight. Wiggle test (with car running and diff at 290 degrees) didn't change anything. No damage to anything either - car has 400 miles and...
Well, yes, but not like it has a light on it that says "working" or "not working". It requires considerable effort to test it without the Ford IDS. And even then, I'm still not sure it was under reasonable conditions (as in, perhaps the pump doesn't run when the car is stationary?)
I think it's definitely somethign wrong with the pump. I was able to get the diff up to about 290 again, and the pump isn't running. Just don't know why yet.
Trying to get it into a dealer for service, but they all seem to be heavily booked out. We'll see.
Don't feel like climbing under the car for that, but trust me, it's enough. The cooler is tiny, the lines are short, and the diff doesn't hold much fluid at all.
Thing is, this is only fixable by changing the placement of the valve itself. So, does that service bulletin come with a new exhaust or a welder for the service techs?
Follow up - my son drove the car and got it up to 210 on the street. Checked the pump (with the car running) and no activity. Put a heat gun on the diff cover until the temp read 275 - no activity from the pump as far as we could tell (no noise, no vibration). I think this exhausts my...
Posting this here even though it's not Mach 1 specific. Mods, please move to the appropriate area if necessary
I wanted to post this as a bit of a PSA if you run into an exhaust mode malfunction issue. I have a 2021 Mach 1 that I purchased to use as a track car. While at the track this...
Checked diff fluid level - confirmed that the level is fine. I also attempted to jump the sensor. It threw an error on the dash, but never actually turned the pump on. My son is out driving it around right now to manually generate enough heat under normal operating conditions to ensure the...
Watching the sensor throughout the day as my son drove the car, the sensor seems to be working. It was only when I took it out on track and started putting the spurs to it that the temp started to climb.
You mention powering the pump - any ideas how to actually do that? I've yet to see how...
